NMC Test Online

Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!

If in case your GP doesn't have a stamp or a dry seal, you may ask him/her to include a letter of explanation. Just make sure that it is typed or written in a letter-headed paper. That's what I did.

the reference letters need to be stamped and must have a dry seal from the institution where you are currently employed.

Hey guys. For those who are still preparing to take the CBT, I highly recommend that you use this book as a guide: "The Royal Marsden Hospital Manual for Clinical Nursing Procedures, Student Edition." That reference book was very helpful for me when I took the CbT last April 2015. I am currently waiting for my DL. Hope everything turns out well for all of us. God bless us all :)

hi..i am new in this forum..i have read the previous threads. I have booked my CBT for SEPT 15...started reading royal marsden and Code..those who have recently appeared for CBT ,could you help me with tips.I am really stressed seeing the blue print..

Hey. Based from my experience, you need to focus on the Royal Masden and just read the Code. Make sure to understand the questions provided at the end of every chapter of the book. Good luck!

Which IELTS did you use for the NMC registration? The general or the academic?

if you haven't taken the IELTS exam yet, i suggest you take the UKVI academic. the UK visa immigration office will only accept regular IELTS until first week of November.

Hi!

Anyone from IPAMS who had already submitted their documents to the NMC? I would just like to clarify something about the "Declaration of Good Health" form. Yesterday, I went to the agency to have them check the documents that I have collected so that they will be able to tell me the necessary corrections (if ever there are any). Upon checking the "Declaration of Good Health" form, the agency personnel told me that I still need to provide a letter explaining that the MD who checked me doesn't have an official stamp. It was quite perplexing really, as I had asked the doctor to use his inking stamp (With his name, license number, and PTR number) with the addition of having a dry seal on the side (since the MD is also the owner of the hospital). The agency associate said the official stamp should contain the service (e.g Internal Medicine, Cardio). Is this true? Anyone who had passed their documents simply with the inking stamp (please let me know the details included in the stamp of your MD) and didn't encounter any problems? It's just quite embarrassing to tell my MD that he needs to provide a separate letter of explanation that he doesn't have an official stamp, when in fact he used both the inking stamp and dry seal.

Thank you for the kind souls who would respond. =)

Hi. We have the same agency. I was able to complete my documents last June. Regarding the official stamp, just ask your GP or medical doctor to provide you with a letter explaining that he/she doesn't have a stamp. From what I was told before, most physicians here in the Philippines do not have one. Information about the doctor must be included in the letter --- eg his license number and area of specialty. :)

IPAMS is very particular on this one. I was told that I can use a medical certificate or prescription paper with a logo / name / address / contact numbers of the hospital/clinic/facility where the GP is currently working. On the blank part of the certificate, the GP would have to write a short letter stating that he doesn't have an official stamp. The GP would have to mention that the candidate is in good health, eligible to work in the UK and is recommended for registration. He will then have to provide his Full name, license number and department.

I followed this thoroughly as I do not want any of my documents be returned. Courier fees are so expensive. (Fellow IPAMS candidates, I believe we were given a PDF with thorough explanation of the instructions for the Assessment part. XD) - My Declaration of Good Health also has a dry seal of our hospital. XD

I believe my email is floating around here. Feel free to PM me for questions.

Hello freakazoa. I am still not allowed to either reply on your message or send a pm. I need to make 15 posts in order to do so. It's good to hear from a fellow IPAMS nurse.

Have you received the decision letter yet?

IPAMS here also im still finishing the documents. My problem is that i already have 1 year exp in the ward but i am currently working in a new hospital for 2 months and i read that you need atleast 3 months for the second reference. So if thats the case, i can only send my documents when i reach my 3rd month? Thanks gguys

@Malakite

Hi,

Correct me if I am wrong but I think that reference coming from your employment of at least three month period from your most recent employee is part of the old scheme? Follow this link Trained outside the EU/EEA and read the booklet. It will guide you. I hope it'll help.

Thanks loveligrace that was a relief! :)
