IPAMS here also im still finishing the documents. My problem is that i already have 1 year exp in the ward but i am currently working in a new hospital for 2 months and i read that you need atleast 3 months for the second reference. So if thats the case, i can only send my documents when i reach my 3rd month? Thanks gguys

@Malakite

I did not experience the same dilemma as you have (the 2 hospital affiliation thingy), but I highly advise you to ask or clarify with your IPAMS coordinator regarding that matter. They may be able to answer that since they are well-updated and well-informed with the changes regarding the UK application.

Hi,

This thread is an oasis of tips, just back track on the previous posts and you would find useful suggestions from previous CBT takers.

God bless and good luck!

Hi lovely! When are you taking your OSCE?

From the PDF that I've received and discussed with IPAMS (for like 20 minutes for clarification), this is what I can advise.

Reference 1 - Should be someone who supervised you for at least 3 months

* Must be in a higher position than you (i.e. if you are Nurse I, he should be at least Nurse II)

Reference 2 - Should be someone who supervised you for at least 1 year

*same note as above

Based on your situation, I think you can use your previous employer as a reference for 1 & 2. No need to wait for the third month.

Hope this helps.

Hello freakazoa. I am still not allowed to either reply on your message or send a pm. I need to make 15 posts in order to do so. It's good to hear from a fellow IPAMS nurse.

Have you received the decision letter yet?

I received my DL more than a week ago and CTN/IPAMS request some more forms to be accomplished. Since it's a holiday today (in both UK and PH), they haven't replied to my accomplished forms.

hi, i have a question for those who had their decision letter.

Or anyone who actually knows about the reference forms

The thing is that my 2 reference forms did not get any personal stamps on them

only the dry seal from the hospital.

will this be a problem? because im already on the assessment queue ..

both of my references did not have any stamp at that time and i thought maybe i should have

at least put their license number but i also failed to do this at that time . This has been in my mind for a few weeks now.

because any delay on the delivery of my decision letter would mean i will be retaking the IELTS for UKVI because November is just around the corner.

My reference forms weren't stamped either, just dry-sealed. Our nursing director wrote her license number below her printed name, but my head nurse didn't, yet they were still accepted by NMC.

IIRC, there's already a required space to be filled in for the license numbers so you need not put them again in the signature space. The "stamp" required by NMC can either be a real stamp or the dry seal of the institution in which your references are employed.

wow. thank you so much! i can finally get more sleep now :)

Hello Freakazoa.

I will be calling the NMC for updates regarding my application. Hoping to receive my DL soon.

Are you from Manila? I'm from Batangas, btw. We may be meeting in the future, only God knows. :)

Guys I need help.

Would you know if what are the medical clearance needed for UK?

I just had my medical taken and it turned out that I was VDRL Positive. The doctor had me go through TPHA for confirmatory and it turned out positive too.

VDRL and TPHA are test for Syphilis. The doctor asked me to complete a 3 week treatment that involves routine antibiotic regimen.

My questions now are:

1. After I am done with treatment, will I be cleared for fit to work?

2. Does UK immigration blocks work visa applications for applicants who have had syphilis history?

At this point, I am unsure if what are the medical screening required for UK.

I have been searching on the internet and UKVI websites and I am only seeing TB Screening Test via IOM as mandatory medical clearance required for UK Immigration.

To anyone who has an info, please shed light.

I am having nightmares and enormous amount of stress everyday thinking this will completely burn all my dreams and aspirations to become a UK Nurse.

Thanks,

Hey RockyRn

Which company or agency is sponsoring for you? They may be the one to answer your questions. I have relied with my agency ever since I started with my application. As far as I know, If you have been confirmed as positive for any tests prior to visa applications, measures such as those you mentioned are done (eg the antibiotic treatment). And once you have completed those, you may then be able to continue. You may also ask the NMC directly or the immigration authorities for travel and visa application for the UK.

Hi guys, who filled out and signed your form to accompany transcript of training? Is it the registrar or the dean?
