NLN Results....

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I took my test on 1/27....I read on here some people are getting their results back in 12 days...well that's today. Does anyone who took their test that day have theirs back? How about those of you that took it just before then...are your results back yet?

I was fine this morning until I looked out my window and saw the mailbox. Then it hit me. Now I'm a NERVOUS NERVOUS NERVOUS wreck!!

Alrighty...hmmm. Well I'll be waiting on the mail truck.

just found out that las vegas nursing schools is going to stop using the nln after this year. crap!!!!!!!!!!! If i had to do it, so should everyone else. lol.:p

thanks baley. i have been out of school for several years and to be honest, the nln study guide was of no help. anyone here going to CSN las vegas nursing or lpn school?:D

is the percentage score on the nln the score comparing me to the people who applied to my lpn program at my school?

I believe the composite percentile score is the national average for everyone applying to a lpn program, not just a particular program. Hope that answers your question.

that does answer my question. thank ya!!!!!

Hi! I'm new to this discussion, but I just received my NLN results, and I'm in the 96th percentile!:rollI was really excited with it at first, but the longer I wait to see if I get accepted, I'm beginning to second guess! My school takes the 50 top nln scores, and gpa. I'm glad I'm not the only one hoping 50 people didn't score higher than me! (I know that's horrible!):uhoh3:

I completely understand. That's a great score though. Congratulations and good luck!

That is a great score and just so you know, it is normal to worry - I think even if you got a 99%, your still worrying because you just never know how well everyone else will do!!

Hang in there. I'm sure if that is a good score for your school, you won't have any problems getting in!!! Good luck! (I got in with a 92%)

I know you are completely right! I guess let the worrying continue! I should find out mid-April! Thanks for the encouragement!

hi,

I am taking the NLN in a few weeks and am studying like crazy at the moment.

I have a question, I am taking the test on the computer, not the paper version.

Do they give you a paper copy of the test as well when you are taking the test on the computer? I would assume the computer is where you enter your answers but HOPEFULLY I will also have a paper copy that I can write on, cross incorrect answers off etc...

any last minute tips will help as well!

Can anyone tell me what it's like to take the NLN on the computer versus the paper version?

Thanks!

I took the computer version. I prefered it because I got my results right away, as opposed to having to wait a few weeks for the paper results to come in the mail. But if you're not comfortable staring at a computer screen for a couple of hours, you may not like it. The words started to blur at one point for me lol, but it wasn't too horrible.

There isn't a paper version of the test available, its completely on the computer. You can mark a question if you want to come back to it later if you have the time.

Hope this helps:up:
