The application for NJCU is open for both Wall and Jersey City! I thought I would make a thread for this years round of applicants. We can share our experience with NursingCAS and the HESI.

Johndabaker, I tried to message you back but it won't let me unless I've done so many topics or w/e. Anyway, I tried to call NJCU about this, but they were unsure of what I was trying to say. I am not sure who to talk to about it.

Hi! Best wishes on getting in :-) I'll be taking the Hesi Assessment next Thursday, just want to know are we able to bring calculators?

You cannot bring a calculator but are provided with a calculator on the computer screen!

Hope you did great! Were you able to use calculator? I'm wondering for math section if allowable.

I just want to leave an update if anyone was concerned about the conversation between tinemarie, johndabaker, and I. I asked NursingCAS about the school not being able to view the application if it is not "verified."

The response was that once you submit your application and it becomes complete, your schools are able to view your application. Since NJCU does not require full coursework entry then the application will not be verified. Once the application is complete, it was received by the school.

I was scheduled to take the hesi on tues. but it was cancelled because of the great blizzard!! They said they were going to send me rescheduling info, but to date have not received any. I have tried to call to no avail and have tried to reschedule on line but now there are no openings available and it's denying my confirmation #. Really bummed, don't know what to do.....any suggestions/

same thing happened to me. i had to call and wait on the line for 40 min for them to give me three options. 1- go to New york, 2-take it after Feb 6 (which cannot happen because i am applying to Walls and deadline is Feb 2) or three take it today but an hr away. I of course took it today but did poorly so idk... but if you're applying to Walls, I would call them and pretty much demand you take it on Monday or else idk if you can apply to Walls. Good luck!

According to NJCUs website the deadline for the Wall cohort application has been extended to February 23rd!!!!

Yes, I got an email from njcu but it says that the deadline for the Hesi has not changed.....I think the last date you are able to take it is the 6th. Have not heard anything back yet about the test but will continue to try.

Hi everyone .. I had my exam rescheduled since snow too and I am taking mine Friday am at 8:30 I am so nervous .. But I was catching up on the thread and wanted to ask if I already entered all the coursework ( since I thought we had too ) :/ should I just keep it or take it out for the application .. Also did anyone receive verification that their hardcopy transcripts made it to nursing cas .. Since I DIDNT and I went over 2 weeks ago should I be concerned??? Thanks guys I hope everyone's application process is as stress-less as possible lol i am planning on submitting mine on Monday .. Once I review and finish my personal statement ! Good luck everyone :) !!!!!!
