I cannot stand companies that Prey on someone's ambition to learn and better themselves. That these publishing companies portray themselves as having a relationship to a school or an guarantee a diploma or degree is infuriating.

While I understand money makes the world go around, there are right ways and wrong ways and while the publishing companies do provide a service, the way they go about promoting and touting that service is so wrong!

I am LpN and I live in mennesota and I am one off the victim that are affected by college network. 5 years ago I sign up for the program thinking too continue my education. Then I waz paying 250 every month and I was unable too start the class because I had too much going and I try too tell them if they at least stop charging me money but they continue charging me so it was too much interest and decided too pay full because I had no choice. I ended up paying almost 11,000. I week ago I call them too go back too school and I ask them what I am going too do and they had different story for Me also I try too contact a college that they told me some off the money I paid goes towards them they said the don't even have my name. I felt like this is answer for my prayers. Please what can I do at least too get back my money if there a group I can join ! Please help me.

Do a google search for The college network class action suit and look up the name of the attorney for the plaintiffs. I highly doubt you will ever see your money again but whats the worse that can happen by calling, you still have nothing.

In 2007 access to google and internet were not what they are today. Although I think that I found TCN by searching for LPNto RN program the search turned up The College Network and had it appear with Excelsior College's name.If I get half my money back I would be happy.

Did you ever find any information that helped any further?

I signed up with the program in 2009.. when I received the material from them and also found from other Nurses what a scam this program was.. I called the school and told them I wanted out of their program and I was told I had 3 days from the time I signed up to cancel and there is no option to get out.. I was just recently informed my bank account was froze due to a garnishment and a judgement placed on me from this school/ program SCAM my entire paycheck was in the bank and I had rent due so I was forced to obtain a payday loan to pay my rent.. I was never informed of anything by the court or the attoneys office representing them.. I contacted the attorney's office and was informed the judgement was for $10,000 for nothing they provided no services for me I received 1 vinder with a copied book and a cd disc for practice test THATS IT! and now they are destroying my life and I don't even know what to do.. Does anyone have any advice? im pleading for some direction

Although we can't offer legal advice, we can advise you to seek legal help. An attorney can help you get the judgment reversed since it was obtained without your knowledge and participation. Look this up on the internet.

Your state Attorney General might also be able to help- Consumer Affairs Division.

These people scammed me back in 2005....I returned my books cancelled within 72 hours and they took me to court to sue me in 2014. Their attornies never showed up and the case was dismissed by parties without prejuidice meaning they can come back and sue me. I had no idea I was even being sued. These people are deceitful and scam artists. I hope they go out of business and all of us are freed from their misrepresentation

they didn't go out of business but i heard they changed there name so they can fool more people.

I'm a victim of college network scam $6000.00 gone if that was me I would be in jail or have to pay back. So it's ok for them to scam is, we may get $100.00 in return
