  1. In 2007 access to google and internet were not what they are today. Although I think that I found TCN by searching for LPNto RN program the search turned up The College Network and had it appear with Excelsior College's name.If I get half my money back I would be happy.
  2. I have been an LPN for 26 years. I was lucky, back in the 80s when LPNs where working in hospitals in specialty units. My experience began on telemetry and ICU for 5 years. I recieved training in hemodynamic monitoring. Then came the ax and they started to do away from LPNs in our hospital around 1991. Lucky for me I found many niches in quality management, utilization and case management as an LPN, . However I will advise all to go back to school and become RNs that is where the pay is. and that is where all opportunities lie. As you get older you will find comfort in applying for any job you desire, and in nursing the sky s the limit ..once youre an RN with BSN. Im 3/4 of the way there, live 10 min from NYC. My dream place would eb one of those big NYC research hospitals for the desire to learn and be at hte cutting edge of healthcare and of course the benefits that come with it
  3. You are right I just recieved a C on chronicity. TCN texbook was horrible the exam was tricky , Otherwise I have passed 3 essentials theory courses with a B. I do reccomend that you purchase the practice exams excelsior sells they are worth it. I too got stuck with TCN textbooks and tried to make the best of it but after this C in Chronicity I am disappointed and am considering purchasing used texbooks fo rthe next course.
  4. Luckily I have always had insurance and when I was not insured during my college years I recieved care at a pay as you can hospital clinic and recieved the best care. My experience here as in puerto rico has always been that I ahve never been turned away. Then I agree something needed to be done but this didnt have bipartisan support and that is not what america is about.
