Hi , Im A Newly Graduated / Licensed Vocational Nurse Located In Victorville CA .
I Graduated In February && Passed My Boards On The 5th Of July , My First Time :)
Woooohoooo .!
After 2 Years Of Brutal Schooling , ( 1 Year At Four D College - CLOSED DOWN && One Year At American Career College ) Ive Been Actively And Impatiently Searching Online For Any Job I Could Find , My Student Loans Are Due In August ( From Both Schools ) , && Ive Already Deferred Them Once . Im In Desperate Need Of A Job Regardless Of The Pay At This Point But It Seems Like Jobs Are So Scarce In My Area . Theres Multiple Places Hiring Where Im At But They All Seem To Want A Minimum 1 Year Experience . Which I Dont Have .! Only Clinical Experience . && If I Want To Apply For More Jobs Id Have To Choose Jobs That Require Me To Travel 30+ Minutes One Way Which Is What I Dreaded Doing To Go To School In The First Place. I Dont Regret Going To Nursing School , I Enjoy What Ive Studied But I Feel Like I Could Have Gotten A Simple Medical Assistant Degree With Half The Time && Work Almost Everywhere . Its Just So Sad . I Dont Know What To Do Anymore . I Need A Blessing . What Should I Do . What Do My Fellow Nurses Suggest .?

Lose the CAPS and the drama. Prepare yourself to move outside of your comfort zone. LPN's are not hired any/everywhere these days. Apparently they are not in demand in your area. Either apply elsewhere (relocate) or plan to go back to school for your RN.
Either way, the drama is unnecessary. A 30-minute commute is not life-altering.
And sorry, we are not in a position to grant blessings. You may be posting on the wrong forum.
The CAPS Is Just Something I Use Online , Its Fine . && If It Comes Down To It I Will Apply For Places That Require Me To Travel But I Will First I Will Have To Exhaust ALL Options . I Do Plan On Going Back To School For My RN , Just Right Now I Dont Have The Time To Focus On That , Theres Alot Of Things I Have To Take Care Of That Doesnt Give Me 2 More Years + Of Schooling . && Travelling 30 + Minutes Everyday IS Life Altering For Me , Maybe Not At All For You . Btw I Wasnt Asking You Or Anyone Else On This Site To " Grant A Blessing " Its Just A Saying . . . . You Know When Someone Is In Need . I Dont Need You To Tell Me To Lose The Drama . Thank You .

I hope you're not planning on communicating with potential employers in this fashion. It's difficult to read and it makes you come across as very "off".
I think you'd be lucky to get a job that's only thirty minutes away. American Career College doesn't have the best reputation. The last I read, their LVN job placement rate in CA was less than 30%. I looked it up after seeing their crazy commercials on TV all the time and getting curious.
Relocation might be your only good option if you want to actually work in the field you trained for. Good luck in your search.
No , My Resume && Everything Else Is By The Book . I Know It's Hard On The Eyes && Confusing , It's Just A Bad Habit I've Obtained Through the Years . It's Really Hard Not Tonly Type Like That . && Yeah It Doesn't Seem That Bad , Itso Just I Had to Do It Constantly For School && It Really Took A Toll On Me . Financially && Physically . Hopefully I Can Be That Lucky One Who Doesnt Have To Make That Trip .! But Thank You For Your Wish Of Good Luck . I Appreciate That .!

Your original post asks, What should I do? What do my fellow nurses suggest? And, well, you got *exactly* what you asked for; roser13's input on what to do & his/her suggestions. You don't have to agree with any/all feedback you receive, but that doesn't mean you get to try to censor the respondents.
I understand that bad habits are hard to break, but this is one that you must work on. You cannot communicate with potential employers this way. You cannot chart on EMR this way.
**correction to my first Reply: it was a mistake to say that that LPN's are not hired "any/everywhere." Of course LPN's are hired in certain areas/positions. Not sure what was in my head:sarcastic:
but that doesn't mean you get to try to censor the respondents.
Okay . . .
I Can Choose What I Want Would Like To Say Or Not To Whomever .
I Don't See Why I Have To Be Told To Be A Certain Way .
That Doesn't Help Whatsoever

The Victorville/Lancaster area has had a terrible LVN employment market since '08 or '09. It was like that many years before you enrolled in the LVN program. If you want to work as an LVN, you will need to commute.
Southern California is flooded with too many new grad LVNs. It might take longer than a year to land that first job, even if you are willing to commute.
I Am Totally Aware That I Cannot Be This Way With Employers && Documentation , It's Only Something I Do On My Free Time . && No Worries I Understand What You Meant . Thanks .! í ½í¸Š

Hello. Congrats on passing! Even though I'm still waiting on my results I've done like a lot of people have in the past & jumped the gun with looking up places to work. I'm not sure where exactly you'd like to work, but they do have a prison in Adelanto that would take you without the year experience. I know corrections is not something a lot of nurses like, but its a job. I'm in southern California also, so I feel your pain, but where I'm at there is a little more opportunity, actually a lot, so the commuting situation is almost necessary. Good luck though, whatever you do, don't give up!

you live in an area of the country that has no demand for what you are offering. if you are lucky enough to find a job at all before the next group of students graduates you should be expecting to commute as far as necessary to keep that job. thirty minutes is life-altering???? if you can find a job that is an hour's commute you should thank you lucky stars you don't have to move!!
