It's a little early but I figured I would start this thread as we all begin to get our applications in!

Yes! I submitted my application and then my letters of recommendation were uploaded about a week after.

Once you submit you won't be able to change your application, so if you're going to submit before you get that letter I would have it sent directly to NYU instead of the Common App.

Hey! I was able to submit before my transcripts were received by both NYU and the Common App and still one pending recomendation. As far as I know, recommendations are not even required for the application so you should be good to submit without any. How many are you submitting, btw? I submitted 4 and was wondering if anyone else was able to send that many? It sounds like they only accept maximum of 3 but I was able to submit 4 through the Common App somehow?
If you are having issues being able to submit there must be some other tab that is incomplete. Try double checking that all of the sections are complete. Even if you just need to click that you are choosing "not to upload" certain sections. There has to be an answer for each section.
Good luck!!

Anyone else on the non-accelerated path?
Hi! I applied on the non-accelerated path as well. How many prereqs do you have left to take?
I also wonder if anyone has any insight on if the acceptance rates are any different with applicants who are choosing the non-accelerated option so they can finish prerequisites at NYU before starting the ABSN?

Hi Kaitlyn!
If admitted for Fall 2019, I will need to complete Chemistry, Statistics (I have AP credit and it is my understanding NYU does not accept this) and Microbiology.
I am not sure about acceptance rates regarding accelerated vs. non-accelerated, but would love to hear any insights as well!

I emailed the admissions office and they said they send out notifications towards the end of april.

I called them and they told me 6-8 weeks after they receive the application but if you don't hear back by then, definitely by June 15.

Wow, that's so far from now.. I submitted back in like Nov/Dec when all my other apps were due. I've already heard back from most schools. They seem to be on similar timelines, but the NYU timeline in terms of app due date and when you hear back is so different.

Also, if it's like NursingCas, as long as you enter in the recommender's information and the tab has a green checkmark, you should be able to submit. But I have not done this through the Common App, so hopefully someone who has can confirm in case it is different.
