It's a little early but I figured I would start this thread as we all begin to get our applications in!

Huh, that is a really good question haha. I completed mine but put that I would be a first year undergraduate as of 2019 since we are starting a new program at a new school. But I would give FASFA or the CSS agents a call to confirm. I had to speak with them at some point and they were really friendly and helpful!
Good luck! I hope I didn't screw mine up

Seems like in past years, some people who applied priority heard back first while others who also applied priority had to wait until as late as June! I think it all depends on when all of your additional information arrives (official transcripts, letters of recommendation, FASFA and CSS info..) Because some of those things arrive after you've submitted and I would imagine they can't admit you or even begin a review until all of the materials arrive.
If I were you, I would just keep an eye on your checklist to make sure that all of your materials have arrived and if you're unsure about it give admissions a call to confirm that your application is fully complete and ready for review.

So I called the Undergraduate admissions office today and they stated we should put 4th -5th year undergraduate because even though we have graduated it is still a continuation of our undergrad and not starting over so we wouldn't be 1st year undergraduate. To be honest its all confusing lol but I just said okay thank you. Feel free to call and double check to clarify

Oh oops! Well thank you so much for sharing that - I'll have to look into changing that.
NYU just updated my checklist indicating that my transcripts and letters of recommendation were received. Looking at past year threads, it seems to be that this step sometimes took a week or so on its own right. I applied prior to the March 1st deadline so now all I can do is patiently wait.
One thing that I really like about NYU so far is their communication. I have applied to other schools and have been pretty disappointed on this front. Whether it is in the form of an email or call, they have been VERY helpful so far!

I just called their Financial Aid office and they told me I should put down "Attended college before/1st year" as we will have graduated...now I'm confused!
