New York University (NYU) ABSN fall 2019

It's a little early but I figured I would start this thread as we all begin to get our applications in!

According to last years thread, the 2018 cohort heard back April 5th

Apparently they released acceptances in waves, starting the first week in April up until the beginning of June. When I called and asked they said between the end of April and June 1st.

I got an email saying they send out notifications at the end of april

I sent my application in about a week ago, but I'm so nervous! NYU's my top choice and I'm not sure where I stand?. Does anybody know like where the average accepted student falls for the accelerated program?

Has anyone who got their first undergraduate degree at NYU applied to the ABSN? Do you know if they give any priority to alumni?

Does anyone know how much the cohort is every year?

From what I've read on threads from previous years it's ~150

Would having a C in a perquisite course like Life Span be a bad look? It is what they require at least but I can not really afford to retake it at at moment.

I think you could be fine as long as the other grades are good as well. They look at your entire application so I'm sure a C in Life Span might not ruin your chances.

I agree, I think if you did well in anatomy, physiology, and micro in particular, you might be okay. I don’t think they’d write you off for one C.

Hey guys! Can you technically only "submit" your app once you've uploaded all transcripts/letters? I've mailed them to NYU but it still shows on the common app "submit" tab that I can't submit yet?

Also, will one of my letters of recommendation still be able to be uploaded once I submit? I'm not sure when my recommender will be finished with the letter. Anyone know? Thanks!

I was able to submit before my transcripts were received by the Common App and I had my recommendation letters sent by mail not through the e-mail upload option on the Common App. So you should be able to submit. NYU does require prerequisite courses to be entered under the Transcript Entry section though, which if not done could prevent the ability to submit the application.
