Thank you so much! You probably don't know but have any idea what the acceptance rate for the ABSN program is? Or how many people are in your cohort?

Hey there! They don't supply the public with specific acceptance rates for the ABSN program, but during an admitted students night they estimated around 60-65%. Apparently this year was very competitive. IF they are to be believed, this was one of the most competitive years, esp. for Spring. Fall is historically more competitive.

My cohort is about 150 people split into two sections of about 75. I tend to see a lot of the same people, but sometimes the cohorts crossover in class. It depends on your schedule. I, for example, have class everyday starting at 7am or 8am. Some students have a day off and afternoon clinical/simulations. I don't tend to see the afternoon folks and they all seem to be lumped together. You have no control over your schedule, FYI.

hey, how early did they send you an acceptance letter? meaning like after the deadline

Hello Everyone -

I am applying for the Fall 2019 program as well and am super excited!! I'm almost done with my application and plan to submit before the priority deadline.

What kind of academic/work background is everyone coming from? My undergraduate degree is in Fine Arts - just curious who else might be joining from an unrelated field.

Hey! So, expect a wait. I applied August 3 and heard back October 30. Some didn't hear back until January. They are VERY slow, and that's been consistent for several semesters.

Hey! My undergrad degree is in Psychology and I just submitted my application yesterday. Best of luck to you too!

Anyone have any insight as to how long it took for transcripts to be verified or whatever once received in the Common App? Hopefully not too long, I sent both to the Common App and electronically to NYU just in case haha.

I only submitted my transcripts through the commonapp. When I got my NYU login a few days later, it showed that they had received all of my transcripts.
