  1. What did you end up doing? I hope you're doing well now! I have anxiety and since becoming a nurse in 2020 my anxiety skyrocketed. I've also recently realized that self diagnosed OCD is probably what contributed to my misery as a nurse. I've gotten treatment but am still leaving the field now to pursue something else. My advice to anyone who struggles with rumination, checking things a million times, having anxiety, crying, and constantly thinking about if you did anything wrong and what the worst possible outcome could be is to seek psychiatric help. Don't struggle with this alone and keep thinking you have to push through. I have done this for years before I got on medication, which has helped me a lot. I also decided to leave nursing but what I really enjoyed doing the most in my career and found to be the least stressful was vitamin IV therapy. So I recommend looking into those types of jobs as well if you are struggling. You're not alone, sending love ✨

Hey everyone, I’m a new grad RN and applying for an elementary school position with Sierra lifecare (located in Broward county, FL). I’m wondering if anyone has experience working with them? I will find out more from the company but would love some insight from anyone who has worked for them. Mostly on what training looks like for new grads and if they only place one nurse per school? What is the transition like as a new grad? Thanks in advance!
  3. Yeah that definitely makes sense. I’ll contact my school and figure it out. Thank you.
  4. To cut it short, we had a shortened clinical last week and I was unable to get all the info on my patients for my patient care bundles. I need to go back to the hospital to login to epic and get this info but I’m not sure how to go about it. I don’t want my instructor to know I need to do this. I was thinking to just go to the hospital and ask the nurse manager of the floor if I can just use the computer for this info very quickly. I thought it best to not wear my scrubs (because I can’t help out without and instructor) but i’m Also worried this comes across as unprofessional to the nurse manager and those who work on the unit. Am I overstepping by doing this? Or am i just overthinking? Thoughts?
  5. Ughh yeah that’s a lot! Thanks for the info, that’s super helpful!
  6. Hi everyone! I just got my acceptance today! Does anyone know how much the program costs? On their website it says for Dix scholars it is $1400 per credit but I can’t seem to find how many credits the 16 month program consists of.
  7. It looks like they release the admission decision 2 weeks after status changes to complete. That’s how it was for me anyway. Complete on 03/08 and accepted today.
  8. I applied 1/04 and for GPA have overall 3.13 and 3.83 prereqs.
  9. Check your canelink guys! I got in!!
  10. Congrats on your acceptance to JHU! I also applied 1/4 and For GPA have overall 3.13 and 3.83 prereqs. My status just changed to complete last Friday 3/8 but still no word on admission. When did your status change to complete? And have you received an admission decision yet?
  11. Mine finally changed to complete last Friday but still no admission decision.
  12. I have only read on a previous thread 15-30 and that year they went to about 40 because they had a higher number of applicants. So I feel like it’s kind of a gamble ??‍♀️
  13. Same, bummer. ?
  14. Did anyone receive a rank in the waitlist yet? My email just said I’ll receive my rank next week. ?
