  1. Hi there! yes, there is; linking below: https://www.facebook.com/groups/285277195719483/
  2. Congrats to everyone who has been accepted! I'm Alexandra and I'll be starting the ABSN this spring as well (I'm currently at NYU finishing pre-requisites). I'm still fairly new to NYC and NYU in general, but happy to help with any questions about the program, living situations, etc. Excited to meet everyone at orientation!
  3. Hi there! That date sounds correct. You can always call their admissions office to double check - in my experience they have been very helpful and responsive. The priority deadline for fall was March 1 which felt a little late in my mind as well, so maybe they just review apps later than other schools! Hope this helps and best of luck!
  4. Hi there! I'm Alexandra and I'm in the same boat as Kaitlyn. I will be moving from Orange County, California and hope to meet some incoming classmates as the Spring 2020 application cycle gets underway. Sending luck and positive energy to everyone!
  5. Hi there! I'll be attending in Fall as well, although I won't be starting the accelerated portion until Spring as I still have a few prerequisites to complete. I'll be moving from California and am definitely interested in off campus housing and potential roommates!
  6. I'm from the Bay as well! (originally). Have been living down in Orange County for a few years but I'm happy to see some other California friends on the thread. I was accepted yesterday, however I won't be starting the accelerated track until Spring as I still have some prerequisites to complete. Keeping my fingers crossed for you guys!
  7. Hi Kaitlyn! I submitted on March 1st. I am not sure if my courses will be applicable towards their prerequisites (I took a few sciences online and my stats class is an AP course from high school which I've heard doesn't count), so there's a chance I'll be taking quite a few! Some additional background: 3.7 GPA Communication Degree. Have worked in corporate/community fundraising at a Children's Hospital for the past two years and have a good deal of philanthropic volunteer experience (geared towards health causes) but no clinical experience. Best of luck and keep me updated - would love to have a second degree friend! Alexandra
  8. I applied for the second degree or "traditional" (still finishing a few classes!)
  9. Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted! I just received my acceptance as well and am beyond excited! I am still finishing prerequisites so I will not be starting the accelerated track just yet - any other second degree transfers on this thread?
  10. Hi Kaitlyn! If admitted for Fall 2019, I will need to complete Chemistry, Statistics (I have AP credit and it is my understanding NYU does not accept this) and Microbiology. I am not sure about acceptance rates regarding accelerated vs. non-accelerated, but would love to hear any insights as well!
  11. Good luck to all who have submitted for Fall 2019! I submitted yesterday however I applied as a non-accelerated student since I still have a quite a few prerequisites that need to be completed. Anyone else on the non-accelerated path?
  12. Congratulations to all who have been accepted! Eddie, do you mind me asking when you submitted your application? Thanks!
  13. Hi there! Thank you for starting this thread - I am planning to apply to NYU for Spring 2019 entry as well. I too will have to complete prerequisites before starting the accelerated curriculum, so while we will not be in the same cohort, I was hoping you could help me with a few questions: 1. How many prerequisites did you have left when you applied to the second degree program? Which ones? 2. How long did it take you to complete those prerequisites at NYU? 3. Does NYU accept AP credit for prerequisites? I have reached out to them but have not yet received a response. 4. Are you living on campus? Thank you in advance for any answers or insights you can provide!
