I got an email yesterday from NYP/Columbia that I am selected as a "top candidate" and can skip the meet and greet and go to an interview with Nurse Leaders in June. Has anyone else received this now or in the past and could provide advice? I know the process is long being hired at such a premier hospital. Just wondering if anyone could give me some insight.
Thank you!
Just an update, I passed the pharm test!!96! :). The only advise I can give is to study the Study Guide and to do questions, questions and more questions. The critical thinking exam was "okay" I didn't do good in the dysrhythmia exam :/. Overall I think the Nclex was easier lol Good Luck!
Hi, congrats. Where to get a study guide?thanks
Has anyone else heard back, good or bad??? I'm still waiting and getting anxious now.
Dear, ARNBSN, RN. I cannot send private messages but I do have a BSN. I think that you should wait until you get your BSN because I heard that NYP doesn't usually hire nurses with an associate. Meanwhile try to do some overtime in the floors so you can have some acute experience. -Best of luck!
Hi everyone! So I received an email a week ago to set up my meet and greet time.
So the event is only 20 minutes long or is that the actual interview?
A little confused here.
what time is everyone going to the meet and greet who got a "Top candidate graduate nurse" email?
I'm going on the 20th at 1pm.

why so much testing? What specialty were you hired for?
Can someone please send me a copy of the pharm study guide, it would be greatly appreciated. please send it to [email protected]
Thanks!

@NYNewGrad16 how far would you be traveling?? I honestly heard it's basically like speed dating but with different interviewers you talk to for about 10 minutes and resume drop...and then because they hardly have many open positions for new grads, most people go into the "future consideration" pool until positions open up and then may get called for interviews for certain positions. I would travel for an actual interview for a position but this isn't really that...it's more of a meet and greet where a ton of people attend so I don't think it would be worth it to travel far. But it also depends on how interested you are in the hospital and what your other options are.
