I got an email yesterday from NYP/Columbia that I am selected as a "top candidate" and can skip the meet and greet and go to an interview with Nurse Leaders in June. Has anyone else received this now or in the past and could provide advice? I know the process is long being hired at such a premier hospital. Just wondering if anyone could give me some insight.
Thank you!
Hi @Bbddll13 Did you have RN experience? I have experience but in a Clinic not acute care. I will be graduating with my BSN this coming May. I have applied for the new graduate meet and greet but am wondering if I should be applying to regular RN positions? What kind of positions did you apply for?
Thankss
Hello ch3lli3w3lli3. I have 2 years of experience (no acute experience). I applied through their website. If I remember correctly I applied a monday. The next day (tuesday) I got a call from HR and did the phone interview. After the phone interview she scheduled me for a face to face interview with talent acquisition and nurse manager for the following day (wednesday). 7 days after I got a call that I got the job.
Thanks for your reply @Bbddll13! I went to the interview event last Tuesday where I met with the patient care director and still haven't gotten a call back and I'm freaking out because I really want this job! Anyway, good luck on your exams and let us know how it goes!
