VEEB LPN Program (info request)

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

i am located between seaview avenue and E102nd street. L train is about 5or 6 blocks from me which is rockaway pkwy.

which part of canarise are you located and george also?

Mel p :banghead: I am not living in canarise. The neighborohood where i am living is called "Carnasie".I am located especially in Remsen between Farragut and Foster. And there are two gas station in the neighborohood and a elementary high school calls ryder high school. And once again, I am living in Canarsie where the Bus 17 pass to go to Utica train station and to Seaview.:uhoh21::nono:

ok i have no idea about the school u are talkiing but i do know the cross street of remsen and farragut. it is maybe about 10 minutes from me. if u are directly on that point if i m able to drive i am willing to carpool with you.

Well, good news. i can wait for us to start the program and to meet face to face. Yes, the corner Remsen and Farragut is like three minutes from my house.:D:smokin::redbeathe:up::yeah::bugeyes::rolleyes:

I too will be attending VEEB this September. They told me the setup of carpools is not done by the students. They choose who will carpool with who based on address/location.

Veeb does a zip code thing we were told. When u r assigned ur clinical assignments it is up to u the student to link up a carpool. For some reason it really works out. Noone takes the train from Brooklyn like I have said before so u guys can carpool together for now. You will find other people from ur area if u get split in October which is when clincals start.

Today, i receive in the mail the letter for the physical which is the 31 of May at 8 am on saturday.Also, the day for my orientation the last monday of June which is the 30 at 1pm sharp. On this day, they say i will receive my first pre-entrance assignment for the first day of school.:smokin::up:
