VEEB LPN Program (info request)

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

Hi everyone! I took my test yesterday, and when the guidance counselor was speaking with us about the program she let us know that she is a month behind grading them. So that we wouldnt be receiving our grades until the end of april. So I am assuming those who took the test the beginning of february should be getting their results the end of march.

To all of you that are waiting for your tests results, be patient. I know that is hard to do because I was once in your shoes. Just wanted to let you know that school was closed a couple of times due to the snow storms we had, so that would set them back a little in grading tests. I wish you all well and be prepared to work like you can't imagine.

Hello everyone. I am new to this nursing board and I really like that everyone can discuss things with one another. I noticed everyone had their tests and some are waiting for their results. I havn't taken my test yet, but I am scheduled for March 17th.....is anyone taking the test that day?. I'm a little worried since I'm testing later then most people, if they will even bother accepting me for September 2010 even if I pass. I guess we will see. Does anyone else feel this way? What has everyone been using to help study for the test?:)

yea me too i called the school today and they said they havent sent any results yet, it will at least take a month and half so wait until the end of march, i hope they are not lying, in the meantime im applying for other school for the adn or bsn program since im going to have a degree for spring 2010.

Good luck to everyone testing for the 2010/2011 school year...I am a current student and wanted to let everyone know to be prepared to travel for your clinicals,,,I was told that they pick the clinical site by your zip code,,,COMPLETELY FALSE,,I live 5 min away from veeb and 3 min away from nassau university med center (which they do use for clinicals also)but I have to travel to Jamaica Queens for my clinicals... I have a friend who lives in brooklyn and has to travel to Long Beach....just be prepared to commute..

Hey You Guys...Took My Test On Feb 25th....Anxiously Awaiting My Results The Instructor Informed Us To Wait @ Least One Month Before Expecting Our Results...the Test Was PRETTY Easy...Really Easy If You Have Not Been Out Of School for Long...Some GED Practice Tests Should Be A Really Helpful Study Method...Good Luck Guys!!

yeah, I was thinking about that too, but then I considered the testing dates...I dont know if there is any more test dates past your own. And I estimated that I tested with about 50 people as well on Feb. 16...so based on all the confirmed test dates (Feb 9, 16, 23, Mar 2)...if 50 people showed up to each on, there were only about 200 people to test so far...but are there any more test dates in March???

took my test on the 25th of february and about 50 people tested wit me as well they also tested in the 24th...if every test had a class size of mine then way more than 200 people have tested by now..:-/

I've heard that the entrance test has 4 parts to it. A few anatomy and physiology question, basic math, reading and vocabulary. IS THIS TRUE???

why would they add anatomy and physiology questions on there??

DEF no anatomy or physiology ONLY reading & math...:yeah:

hi i am new here and will be taking my veeb test next week. does the reading consist of reading passages and then answering questions about what you have read? does the math have story problems? i heard it has decimals and percentages. i am trying to study and feeling overwhelmed because i am not sure of how much i need to brush up on :confused::confused::confused:

hello sweetness07,

i have been following the guidline that veeb gave us when we picked up our applications. it should be with the package information you got. i will be testing on the 17th.....when is your test date? hope i do well. i've been studying everday for the test.....good luck!:)
