Hello my fellow nclex takers,
I'm scared to fix a date for my re-test due to this new test plan, im using saunders 4th edition and i planned tesing by May, but would want some one who took nclex recently in April to share his/her experience.
I think this will help many of us who are anxious about this new plan.
This applies to those who have taken the test before and after April, pls tell the differences, hope the material we are using before the new changes are still valid.
share and be bless.
thank you !!
Wow congrats ELORN09!! I do intend on doing as many questions as I can this time around something I didnt do before. Right now Im doing the kaplan q bank and then will do the trainers. I also intend on doing the charity book which I already started and its great. And if i can do more questions, i still have my saunders book and will maybe look into the nclex 3000/3500 link. This time I will be prepared and leave the rest to the lord.
Just took my RN-NCLEX today. I felt like crap afterward, but that's exactly how I felt after my LPN one too. The computer shut off at 120 questions. I rushed home and did the PVT (Pearson Vue Trick) and it said to contact the board of nursing which is the "good pop-up" so that is AWESOME. I sure hope the PVT works!!! OMG there were tons of SATA, infection control, and priority questions. Only one math question. I'll find out for sure if I pass in probably 48 hours from the Utah Board of Nursing. Good luck to all you who still have to take their NCLEX!!!
Hi,
I just moved here from the UK and I took the new format in April as well and got 220 questions....I failed:hdvwl:. Its the 2nd attempt for me and was definitly harder than the first. I also got a lot of prioritization and delegation questions and very few drug calculations.
I used the Saunders book, read it from cover to cover. I am currently studying again- 3rd time lucky! lol! I am actually afraid to try again. This exam is quite daunting. Does anyone have any advice for me? I cant afford to fail again, its too humiliating.

What is the PVT (pearson VUe Trick)???
here is how to do the Pearson Vue Trick:
-go to Pearsonvue.com/nclex
-Log-in with your user name and password
-click on Register
-Go through the process of registering for the NCLEX again.
-Put in the County, State, City and Nursing school code
-if after you click the "next" button you get a "pop-up" stating to contact your board of nursing for more info----you passed
-if it sends you to the credit card page----you failed.
This is available to check right after you take the NCLEX.
