Hello my fellow nclex takers,
I'm scared to fix a date for my re-test due to this new test plan, im using saunders 4th edition and i planned tesing by May, but would want some one who took nclex recently in April to share his/her experience.
I think this will help many of us who are anxious about this new plan.
This applies to those who have taken the test before and after April, pls tell the differences, hope the material we are using before the new changes are still valid.
share and be bless.
thank you !!

Either people thought it was easy or they are so blown away by it that they don't want to talk about it.

Yeah Im really curious as well. Im going to be taking it again in probably a couple months. I'm just going study really hard and do my thing, there's nothing I can do about the new changes. The audio stuff seems to be new, at least to me.
But still would be interesting to see if the changes were small or glaring..

I had audio questions with the first time around I took it late january..tomorrow april 12th is my 2nd try..I have been studying from saunders book and cd...looks like just the amount of questions regarding management of care went up from 13-19% to 16-22% and a couple of other changes..I will let you know how it was since I took it before and after the april 1 2010 change

Elorn09,
God will see you through tomorrow, He will be there before your arrival, be strong, it's well with you.
pls come back and tell us how it goes.
Is like no one wants to talk about it, i pray we will all make it, no matter how they twist the test plan.
Good luck !!

I will be taking mine after graduation in June. I have a Kaplan prep course to take first, they will teach on all the new stuff the NCLEX has come out with. I hope it makes it more interesting, I hate boring mutiple question test.

Well I just got finished with my 2nd NCLEX-RN and it was definitely not harder than the first time (Jan 2010)...just the same-- HARD!!! I didnt get any math questions or audio questions booo hooo the math are my fav!!! I did get alot of SATA and pharm questions..YUCK!! The computer shut off arnd 85 questions i told myself I wouldnt pay attention this time because I was focused on the question not the amnt because i did that last time and it was TORTURE!!! Soooo now the waiting begins, but I feel so different from last time...I'm soo thankful i'm not still sitting there it took 5.5 hrs the 1st time and I cried off and on for 2 days until i got the results that i alrdy knew...FAIL...but this time no matter what the outcome I'm not crying and i'm gng to get on with this beautiful day...I will be upset if I fail this time but I will start studying as soon as I find out (if i fail)...I really think doing LOTS of questions really helped me out..okay now i'm rambling :)
I'm just sooo thankful to this website and all the support that you get all the encouragement really helps to move on!! Good luck to all and KEEP YOUR HEAD UP...I truly believe we didnt graduate from nursing school to see our dreams stop here...This test is a game that we just keep playing until we conquer it!!! We are all competent, caring nurses!!!!!
