need help with doing fingerprinting for out of state nurses

Hello Stefanurse, Did you get it sorted yet? I just googled places that do fingerprinting. Paid about $40 and that included the cards. And then sent it off. Hope this helps. I think the courts do it as well.

    seattle rn positions

Hi, I too just got to Seattle and have been applying for a whole month with no calls! The thing is that I studied in England and I do have a BSN. I haven't actually worked since 2010 and it was in Gynecology. Can I send my resume to you? I worked as a PCT for 7 months in Atlanta while studying for my NCLEX-RN. It is sooo depressing. I have applied at UW,Swedish,Multicare,Evergreen, Redmond, NW, kindred, Harborview to name a few! What can I do? Any help, advice will be greatly appreciated.

I studied in London and I had to "upgrade" my degree to be able to qualify to sit for the NCLEX-RN in California. I was lucky to have come in contact with an agency that put me in touch with a program at City University. It is a kind of bridge program that helps you make up the hours you need. Good luck and let me know how it goes.

    Moving to Seattle from Australia

Hi Trisanah! Welcome to Seattle. I just moved here from Atlanta and before that I was in London,UK. Were did you move from? You have to take the State Board exam- Nclex exam, but before they even let you do that, they will need to get quite a bit of information from your School. This includes specific hours you spent in specific areas of Nursing. I went through a lot of hoops before I eventually passed the test. It is quite difficult depending what Country you graduated from. But you can do it! You will need to go to the Washington State DOH website - http://www.doh.wa.gov/Home.aspx I suggest you call them and ask all your questions. Good luck. Let me know how it goes and I will give you a list of some great study materials.
