Hiya guys,
So, I just got a Per Diem job in a private clinic. As I have never worked Per Diem , does anyone have any advice for me? What do I need to know, ask , do?
Will I fill out a W2?
Thanks in advance.

Hey Bulldog, congrats on the job!
I'm not familiar how per diems work in a clinic, only in a hospital setting, but it might be the same? I would certainly ask!
In a hospital per diems are used as fill in nurses. If they don't need you, they call you off. Per diems are usually the first to go when it comes to being called off.
The pay is usually a bit more because you don't get sick, vacation or insurance.
I worked per diem for years. I got better pay and didn't need the benefits.
Yes, you fill out a W-2. No difference there. :)

i know how hard it is moving and finding a job in another country, lots of red tape to deal with.
Thats why this forum is so helpful, hopefully we can help each other avoid some of the problems with sound advice.
tokmom was right whatever you do make sure you do your w2s you dont need to do this in the uk as it is done for us but here you do not want to upset the IRS.
