New students...what is your fall schedule like?

I was just wondering what everyone's fall schedule is like. In order to be accepted into our ADN program you need to have A&P I & II done, math, english and philosophy already done before you even apply. It's interesting to see that some are accepted before even completing those courses. I have also already taken Micro, sociology, psychology, political science and speech so those are out of the way. We have to have those done before we graduate, except for Micro which needs to be done before the 2nd semester!

When we got our acceptance letters, they allowed us to take Pharmacology in the summer. It's brutal but we're making it. Beaming525, Debstr and I are all in the same program...are we lucky to meet here first and then be in the same class? Hi Louisa and Debbie!!!

Anyways, I will only have 8 credits this fall. Not too bad huh? I will have nursing 101 lecture, lab and one day of clinicals. Yahoo!!!!

Let us know what your first semester will be like!

All of my prereqs are done, and have already done pharmacology. This semester will be my first for the nursing classes.

Mon, Wed

10-11 am Lifespan Dev (3 cr hr)

11am-12pm Anatomy (4 cr hr)

1pm-3pm Nursing 101 (7 cr hr)

Tue

Nursing 101 lab (class time and length tba)

Wed

3pm-5pm Anatomy lab

Thur

Nursing 101 Clinical (time, place, and length tba) Generally from 8am-2pm

Fri

1pm-2pm Nursing 101

I'm so glad to be getting into the nursing classes finally! I got a small taste last semester with pharmacology (had to get permission to take it since it's usually taken in the 4th semester of nursing, but at least that's one less class I'll have in my last semester!)

I'm switching to a 4-year program, so it's back to pre-reqs for me!

Math

Anatomy

English Comp

Comparative Religions.

Good luck everyone :)

Hello again folks. I didn't give up entirely. :-) I'm registered for Psych 101 and a Nutrition course this fall (mornings). I'll get my Math and Chemistry to done in the afternoons, and hopefully with that I'll be ready to present a better application when they become available in December.

PS: I got a wicked sunburn today helping out Habitat for Humanity!

Hi,

I have been lurking here for a while so I desided to pop in here and say hello. :-) I got accepted in the Practical Nursing program and will begin my classes August 19. I will be taking 12 credits instead of the 20 that most people will have to take this sememster because I have already gotten some of my classes out of the way. I have already taken, A&P I and II, Nutrition, and Human Growth and Development. My schedule for this fall is:

1. Geriatric Class on Mondays and Wednesdays.

2. Fundamentals of Nursing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

3. Fundamentals of Nursing Lab on Tues, Weds, Thurs, and Fri.

4. Practical Nursing Seminar on Thursdays.

I also work part time at a service station on the weekends 10 hours a day. One good thing about working there is that I will be able to work and study for school at the same time.

welcome to the board! i wish you all the best in your endeavors.

I have all my general ed credits done, psych., soc., economics, etc. from my degree in Human Services and my electives. This fall I am taking 6 credits: A & P and Spanish for Nursing. I also work full-time and have 3 kids. I figure I might graduate in 2005 haha.

(I don't know how to use those cute little laughing guys.)

about the smiles....some people only use the quick reply box at the bottom of the thread and don't see the smiles....

for those of you who have not found it yet...instead of replying in the box at the bottom of the thread...look at the top or bottom of the thread in the yellow bar for a squares that say "new thread" and "post reply" (just abouve and to the right of the quick reply box) ...if you click on that you have more options in posting, like smiles and text size...:kiss :imbar    ;)
