How recently did you get the passport? DFA fixed that problem after a short time. You need to go to DFA and get them to replace it since that will hinder your ability to travel to several countries as well.

Did you get the passport from a DFA official directly or did you use an agent? There have been a rash of seemingly legitimate agents using fixers to get the passport. Your passport may not be legal if you didn't get it directly from DFA.

I got it directly from DFA last March 2008.

Eesh, you must have gotten one of the mistakes then. You need to go to DFA as soon as possible and see if they can get a rush replacement or issue an official stamp or seal to correct that error.

It is their error, they must fix it.

it will still be honored as proof of identification you just need to bring an extra identification card like prc or drivers license card will do..best of luck to your upcoming exam..:wink2:

mine also doesn't have the bearer's signature. am I going to have a problem if i'll be taking nclex in US? what if I will go to the DFA, are they going to replace the passport? my immigrant visa is stamped in my passport, I don't think its advisable for me to replace it.

I am thinking that if you are here in the US, you can just go to the Philippine Embassy. You can always contact USCIS and ask about the possibility of having your new passport stamped with your immigrant visa if you don't have your actual green card yet.

If they give you your old passport with the visa back then you just need to carry both around with you. I know I get mine back in the UK when I changed to my married name and they did something to it so they knew it wasn't valid anymore but came in useful when trying to think on dates I had been to the US and had to fill them out
