I'm in a 11 month program, I have 2 weeks left and I will only have 2 quarters to go before I graduate (in August). I have learned so much. I just love the clinical, it is so exciting. Good luck to everyone, you can do it. It is hard work and I have shed many tears and laughs, but in the end it will be so worth it.:)

Ive looked and looked all I can find is courses to bridge from LPN to RN...Im an EMT right now...But I dont want to take paramedic to bridge, I just want to take LPN. This may be a silly question, as I have not attended orientation yet- Does your school have you wear your uniform right away or only when you start clinicals? How much did your uniforms cost? I know we have special white ones with a patch on the sleeve. I intend on buying at least two to have one always clean. But if they are $$$$$$$ we'll see..... Thanks!

Hello, is't in NY? thank's:bow:
No, I am not in NY. I am in PA.
Also another word of advice, buy more than 2pairs of scrubs, I bought only 2 pair and literally wore a hole in my pants from washing and wearing to much. One more thing, instead of ironing your patches on get velcro (sticky velcro) and sew it on your scrubs and then use the sticky part and stick to your patch. That is what I have done and it works great.
Good luck to you. :)

our school has us wear our scrubs daily so we 'feel like nurses'
its actually nice because it makes us alert and professional.

first of all it's not a sily question. In my high school, we have to wear scrubs on the days we have our PN classes. The reason for this is so that we will look perfessional and nurse-like. I also wear scrubs for clinicals. Each high school that offers a nursing program has a different color scrubs. Mine is teal. My uniforms cost me about $ 20 on sale. It all depends on where you get them. Some scrubs are $25, which I ended up paying for my second pair. The price also depends on the brand name. I hope this helps and I wish u good luck on your orientation. Have fun! :wink2:
