I am starting in September I figured it would be nice to start a thread where all of us new students could come and and share our experiences/help eachother out as we are on our way to be nurses :)

Well, I passed the entrance exam. Now I am waiting to hear if I'm going to be accepted for the fall semester starting in July. Wish me luck:)

Hi! I took the cpat April 2nd, and passed:D:D:D! I'm hoping to get into the July day classes as well. I've heard it can take up until a month before the quarter starts before finding anything out. I hope not! :bugeyes:I'm already going crazy:bugeyes:! Nice to see someone on here I might be starting with!! Keep me posted!

Congratulations Preemiemama!! I know that's what they said, but I was hoping to find out sooner:) I think I am going to call. Which location are you going to?

I will be attending the Louisville Campus. It looks like if I get in, I would be in Group B, since my last name begins with a letter at the end of the alphabet. I'm hope we do find out soon. Why does it take so long?!! Have you heard of anyone having to actually interview? I haven't. Hoping we don't have to interview!

Great post! I will start LPN school this fall. Just curious, how many of you are planning on continuing your education to RN/BSN or something else. Are you using the LPN to open doors or does this fulfill your goal? Also, is this a second degree for anyone else who had a degree in something else and now going back for nursing? Good Luck to everyone! keep your mind set on the goal, believe in yourself and you can do it!!!

Heyy!! yes, I plan on continuing on my education I def want to apply to RN school after LPN!! Also, I have an Associates degree in Med Admin but obv it really isn't what I want to do so September I will begin my dream :)!!! Gluck to you :)

I have a BA in Education, however the teaching jobs in my area are few and far between. My dream has always been to help others and make a difference in others lives, so here I am, going back for the LPN program.

I start april 27th!! woohoo i cant wait :) is anyone starting at ho ho kus college in nj?

I don't know why it takes so long. I don't know of anyone who has interviewed either(that's a good thing). It looks like I will be in Group A then. I almost called today. I'm trying to give it until the first week in May to see if I get something in the mail or not. They did call and offer me evening classes beginning on the 27th, but I declined because I want days. I took that as a good sign:)

Yeah, I would definetly wait until after Derby, you know nothing gets done before or during Derby! I haven't heard of anyone having to interview either, but I have read where they may request an interview. I heard the night classes were so much harder than the day classes, so I'm glad I'm not going that route! Good luck to you!
