I am starting in September I figured it would be nice to start a thread where all of us new students could come and and share our experiences/help eachother out as we are on our way to be nurses :)

I start LPN school on May 4th! I am sooooo excited!!!

Well, I went through orientation and start classes on Monday! I'm getting nervous because during orientation we received our class schedules and I was supposed to be in the afternoon classes but they put me in 2 evening classes!

Prior to the that, my admissions counselor told me to come to the evening orientation, which I did and they said they had expected me at the morning oreintation? I had already juggled my work schedule around the afternoon classes and was confirmed for evening orientation and when I get there they tell me I was supposed to be at the earlier one? I feel like my school is so disorganized and I will be the one to suffer from it.

I am trying to stay positive but so far my school has left me less than impressed. I can only hope it gets better.

Are you attending Galen? Group A or B. I'm in group B. Very excited, but nervous too. Been out of school almost as long as you are old :uhoh3:! Geared up for the challenge though. Good luck and maybe we'll run into each other in person (now you'll be looking for the oldest person in the class) lol

I just found this website yesterday and it is awesome!!! Anyone hear starting LPN school at TTC Pulaski (Lawrenceburg Class)? I would love to hear from any of you?

So glad I found this thread! I just got "the letter" on Friday while out of town. My cousin (a retired RN) was dog sitting, and I told her to call if it arrived-we both squealed!!! Orientation is April 23, start is May 4th--TTC. Now I'm slightly terrified, and very excited! I plan on bridging to RN, so I have everything but Micro out of the way, and I am SO glad I took A&P 1 and almost done with A&P 2, 'cause my study skills were NOT up to par last year when I started. I sure hope I can do this!
