Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

hi! thank you so much. I sent them a web enquiry last wednesday asking them if the letter of eligibility is the same in principle letter they're referring to. But anyways, you calm my nerves...you have a point, so definitely the letter of eligibility is the letter I would present to any AHPRA office...Thanks ceridwyn... :)
To : AILA61The interview took about 15 mins i think. The bank account will be forwarded together with the Letter of Offer. I paid the tuition fee through bank draft transfer. It took 3 days before it will reach Australia. Pm me for updates.. Good Luck...

Do you think IELTS is a requirement for a 457 visa to be granted? What about the certificate of English? is it possible to submit it instead of IELTS? If IELTS is a requirement. What will be the acceptable score for IELTS? i have read in the website Department of Immigration & Citizenship, 457 visa, the score for IELTS is equivalent to 5 in all subtest? is it true? can somebody please help me regarding this matter.. thank you...
They do not actually specify. It was a requirement a few months ago, to have the 7 in ielts as that is what is required by your profession.
Perhaps it would best to ring them.
On reading the pdf file on requirements, it would seem than you still need the higher IELTS for the 457
""English for registration, licensing or membership
A higher level of English may be required for certain occupations where it is a
requirement for registration, licensing or membership in Australia. You can find out
if your occupation requires a higher level of English by contacting the assessing
authority for your nominated occupation. Contact details for assessing bodies and skills
recognition are available on the department’s website www.immi.gov.au/asri/
If the primary visa applicant is required to hold a licence, registration or membership to
perform in the occupation then they must have English language proficiency of at least
the standard required to be granted that licence, registration or membership.
This can result in the English language requirement being higher than a test score
of 5 in each of the 4 test components, depending on the requirements of the licence"",

I was confused thought you were asking an Australian to sponsor you in Australia....this requires a few conditions, if it a sponsor for financial reasons from another country, that is different matter, from immi website:
""Evidence of sponsor's current residential address
Your sponsor will need to provide evidence of their current residential address. Documents may include, but are not limited to:
property titles
leases
bills such as telephone, gas, electricity""
btw I am only going on life experiences I am not educated in immigration laws.
