Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

In my case, i waited for an exact month for my visa after my medicals.just received my visa. :)
a month? I have no more time.... when are you scheduled to take your BP? I have to be there August one... I wish that I would get my visa already.. the school is already asking for updates....
hi everyone,i would like to ask if i need to go directly to idp for my ielts result to be sent to ahpra or do i just need to coordinate with my review center who facilitated the application back when i was about to take it?
any feedback would be appreciated. thanks in advance.
in my case i went directly to idp office and requested for a copy to be sent to ahpra.

....... as for advisability, if you can qualify for IRON program then do it, it is faster and easier (less steps in the process). even my friend, himself, advised me to take iron, but if in any case i'd choose arntp then he said it's fine..
hello Shiey!
what exactly do you mean by "less steps in the process"? I should have PMed you but I'm still short of the 15 posts. again TIA

hi ossimanila!
i actually have a friend who did this arntp thingy early last year and now he is a registered nurse and practicing in Perth. i think he mentioned they did their aphra stuffs around 5-6 months before finishing their course, as far as i can remember. as for advisability, if you can qualify for IRON program then do it, it is faster and easier (less steps in the process). even my friend, himself, advised me to take iron, but if in any case i'd choose arntp then he said it's fine..
