Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

hello there candy. I'm for CON's july intake. Are you complete with your requirements? I submitted everything already as well as the letter of confirmation. Nice to know someone here on the same boat :)
hi leey86,
I'm still not done with my visa processing, do you already have a place to stay?
I tried to send you a PM, but your inbox is full :)
Hi Blicka!I think I was just blessed because after I got the early exit, then applied for registration, my registration came out really fast (say about a week). And then I applied to every single position posted in the internet. And it was not that long till I got a call as well.
i hope i can be like you too.
Can anyone help me out please? I've been searching for BP providers in ACT (which is quite near NSW) including their websites and course fees. I know that the providers are ACT Health and Victorian College of Health & Nursing. Would you happen to know how much is the fee in each institution and their websites? Hoping you guys can help me cos I need to enroll asap. I got my letter from AHPRA already and CON really has a lot of applicants. Thank you!
Hey marky VCHN is now IHNA. 11500AUD. In ACT my colleague applied but they have no plans at present to offer international residents nurse places for 2012.
you can email IHNA for Inquiries... Institute of Health and Nursing Australia, Health Education in Australia, Nursing Professional Development :: IHNA

aila dear i think you should contact them to get a slot instead cos they fill up fast. they are usually fast when you submit their requirements. they will schedule you for a skype interview after a few days. if the interview is well you will receive your offer letter in a day or two. then etc.

Like I said earlier, why dont you try other schools? Melbourne is a popular choice and there are many schools there to choose from. If only I have my LOE now i would choose to stay in melbourne cause my cousin from sydney told me lots of great things about that city :) If budget is your concern it's still up to you to manage your money there, important thing is you finish your BP and have a job. The earlier the better :) God bless you on your journey!just be patient and you will find the best BP school for you, just widen your options :)
