Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

hi guys! when applying for a business class or student visa do we have to submit our ORIGINAL passport or only certified true copies of the pages? please help ill be going to sg in july and im worried that this could interfere with the visa processing. thanks in advance!
you need to submit your original passport and also the certified copy. Some case officer will return it to you upon sending you the HAP #, however some will send it once your visa will be granted.
hi guys, anyone here for the July Intake of CON?
do you guys know any cheap accommodations near CON?
TIA :)
hello there candy. I'm for CON's july intake. Are you complete with your requirements? I submitted everything already as well as the letter of confirmation. Nice to know someone here on the same boat :)
Hi shiey,
Thanks for the info about procuring a Certificate of good standing here in saudi. But can you please share the steps as to how I'm going to pay the SR300 for the certificate. I'm currently in Jubail and I'm about to go exit this coming july 1. How many days will it take for me to wait til i'll get the certificate? Do I have to pass it personally or can I just have someone send it for me. I'm really really worried about this one because I don't have much time left before my flight date.
Thanks Shiey. Takecare. God bless. :)
Hi jim! I also applied in UniSA but still have to submit a document :) I think the program is good because I've heard they are not that strict with admissions and while waiting for the LoE from AHPRA, it's better to study the bridging course (ARNTP). The only disadvantages I see are: 1. It's more expensive 2. Takes more time to complete (6 months vs 3 months in other schools). But they say the cost of living in adelaide is low so it is good anyway :) i hope I get to meet more people who would take the course this october so we would all be together in a flat/apartment which means more fun and lesser cost of accommodation :) so keep in touch! God bless to all of us!
hi maancho! I have a friend who went through ARNTP last year and he's currently working in AU now..he said the program is actually good (though pretty expensive..hehe!) how much is the whole program nowadays? i mean the total anticipated expenses from start to end of the program (minus personal expenses)????
i'm actually taking into consideration going to UniSA..but i just dont have enough information..can you guys please share infos with me? thanks soooo much in advance! XD

hi gabrielle24!
wow! many people here are from KSA! :yelclap: good guys! it's time for us to go to AU!
how you paid for your saudi council is the same way as how you will pay this time. personally, i asked a friend who has an Alraji bank atm account to pay for my fee crediting in on his account, then i paid him cash on the spot..what is needed in the SC office is the ATM receipt that you actually transfered SR300 to their account.
if you're going home july 1 then you have to process it asap! as we have all experienced, saudis aren't really the fastest working people, and papers get piled up so high that a lot of times it is lost. the SC office secretary didn't actually tell how long it takes to process, she just said that it depends upon the bulk of papers they have to work on. (uhhh..goodluck to us??!!) nevertheless, do it now!
i think you can ask someone to pass it for you, the same thing with processing our application for saudi council. in our hospital we had a representative that works for our papers to prevent crowding in their office, so i guess a representative on your part will also work...although it will be best if you do it yourself..especially if you have the time anyway.
did u pass your papers already to aphra???? what other documents did yousubmit?
gabrielle24,
what other KSA docs do we need to get and submit to aphra?
we should all be able to submit complete documents because once we are already back in Philippines then it would be very difficult to ask for lacking papers here since we are not physically present...
saudi council good standing certificate?
police clearance?
what else?
plsss help..anyone knows??? TIA!

hi shiey
thank you for that reply. its very helpful. just to ask another thing, does it really have to be a
alraji bank atm account, i mean, i have a hollandi bank account can i pay it using it?
i haven't really submitted any document to aphra because one thing i'm still working here and my super supportive hospital doesn't give certificate of employment to its employee not unless that person will go exit or will resign.
regarding additional documents, i just received a message from my friend who submitted her application to aphra last january, she received a reply from aphra and they are asking her to submit additional documents like clinical and theory subject hours, detailed statement of service, and detailed professional reference letter[color=#333333] with some guidelines for each document that they are asking.
shiey, is it really necessary to have a police clearance from here? or will it be okay to get and use our nbi clearance once i get back to the philippines.
would be grateful for your reply...godbless...
@gabrielle24
hmmm..i dont know how they are doing it there in your area but here in our place they are requiring bank transfers thru alraji bank, dunnu..maybe because the account of SC here is with alraji.. how did you pay for your SC exam???? however you paid for that use the same way. all they want is the receipt/proof that you paid.
hahaha! yeah..employers tend to be very supportive most of the time..
-clinical and theory subj that's from our school right? so we'll just accomplish that when we get home.
-detailed statement of service... hmmm..this is the employment certificate right? which needs to mention the # of years employed, # of bed capacity, fulltime/part-time, and area assigned to. is that all? what other details need to be included???
-detailed professional reference letter.. what are needed to be mentioned here? i think this is not much of a problem as we can personally make it and just ask our head nurses/ supervisor/ HR personnel to sign, right? of course we should make it appear that the signatoree is the one who made it..whatchutink???
inputs also from other forumers plsss...TIA!

Hello shiey!
Actually I dont know yet the answer to your question regarding budget in UniSA because the only thing I know is the tuition fee.hehe I'm still on the process of applying so it would be better if you consult IDP Makati (call them), they are all very accommodating :)
