New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

I see. however, accdg to my friends who are now taking the BP, their answers were no. Does it matter? Will it affect my visa application? I'm worried.

Ceridwyn and Blicka, thanks for the responses =) it's a YEEEESSSS, got it :)

Blicka, how did your interview go? What intake would you want to be in and where? :)

I aced it LOL! it went really well, it wasn't really hard, they asked me about my experience, what is CVA? which I answered really quick. What is CPR? I said I don't know I don't remember hahahaha! It was really funny because the lady has a strong accent... so I asked her to speak properly that I don't understand her English LOL it is pretty hilarious hey! I didn't take it seriously but surprisingly I passed. Got 16 July in Perth but still thinking about it.

Hey, I didn't mean to make you more worried. As I have said, as long as you can prove that you can support yourself financially while you stay in Australia, its all good!

It is a lie to say you will not be entering a health facility, whether as a patient or visitor or student nurse. Did they manage to get out of the medicals?

Once you passed your additional reqts, email your case officer to ask if they have received them yet or try to call them. You have to be persistent

Unfortunately, August intake in Melbourne is already full but they will advise me once someone cancelled. It would be fun joining you guys in Melbourne. I am still waiting for MHTI interview this Thursday, then I'll see from there. So how how are you going with your visa application? When are you arriving here?

Does anybody has any idea about ARNTP course in University of South Australia?? ARNTP- Australian Registered Nurse Training Program. Is it equivalent to IRON?? Any boons and banes??? :uhoh21:
