New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

hello :) if I may ask, how long did you wait for your student visa ?

Wow. You're really from Zamboanga? :) I went to PRC this afternoon and the one who entertained me last time directed me to another person in charge, and at last the latter knew what I was talking about.

By the way, did you already submit your application to APHRA? :)

Yep submitted already last April then submitted additional docs to AHPRA (due to the transition) last Nov. 11. Now waiting for final assessment. Goodluck to all of us :)

Thank you :)

Ive seen your post lately that you already received your eligibility letter! :yeah:That was "soon" hahaha :))

Nope.. its a letter informing me to send another copy of my IELTS, not the eligibility letter. :)

Now reading page 11/91. Will have to stop from here. I just came from a not so grueling but still tiring 2-10 shift.

Thanks for all the info you guys. :D

Hello again!

I went to PRC and inquire about the certificate of good standing. They told me that I need to give them the form then they will fill it up then send it to Australia. Now I am confused. I cant find that form. Anybody?

Hi glitz!

The same with me...there´s no form anymore.....there used to be one in the QLD website...

Here in Brazil they told me that I need to clearly specify what must contain in this certification of good standing, all the items and ect...like it´d be a letter instead of a form...

hi guys, Im planning to study in ETEA vying for a Feb slot, do i need to re apply to AHPRA as what i have is the old eligibility letter from NBV?

another question, what does it mean if a school has a CRICOS no.?,

Specializes in Operating room.

hi guys!!! anyone going to la trobe university this january?

hi all,

it's been awhile... very busy with work now (im chabeli's gf) and chabeli is also busy with work in the hospital...for those who PMd to ask how long till he got a job, it took him almost 3 months...and realistically, that's the safe time frame to look at as well... the luckiest gets a job after first month so always remember that the hospitals don't entertain you until you have a license number.... coz you still can't strt without it... and it's taking awhile for AHPRA compared to NBV....

i will endeavor as much as possible to answer all your questions given the time...i'm just on rest day off tomorrow...
