Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

I'm from the same city as you are but I didn't have any problems with PRC. I just requested a Certificate of Good Standing and paid for it. I think they know that already :)
Wow. You're really from Zamboanga? :) I went to PRC this afternoon and the one who entertained me last time directed me to another person in charge, and at last the latter knew what I was talking about.
By the way, did you already submit your application to APHRA? :)
"Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students
Education providers who wish to offer courses to international students on a student visa must be registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS)."
So I think the school where you wish to do your BP must have a CRICOS registered number to use your student visa. Then maybe the solution is to find a school with a CRICOS number.
so does that mean that we can only use the student visa if the bp we're taking is cricos registered? i think the iron of la trobe university is cricos registered.
oh now i get it. since bp is a non-award course so you must get a 575 visa. but if you have a diploma course, maybe you can do both to retain your 572 student visa.
Hi to everyone! I've been following this thread and this is my first time to post (I started reading from the first page up to the last and it took me couple of days to finish *wine).
Well, just want to ask your opinion about my situation right now...
I passed the June 08 NLE. Got 11mos expereince (3mos paid, 8mos training). I was nearly tricked by IDP in beleiving that enrolling in a conversion program is the only option to be an AU RN. Anyway, a blessing came. Out of pure coincidence, God directed me to this forum and lo and behold--- I learned about the BP program. :yelclap:
I want to process my papers as soon as possible but I have a 6.5 in my IELTS. I am thinking of passing my requirements to AHPRA eventhough I know that I need a score of 7 across the board because Im currently doing my training and can't review and sit for IELTS until Jan next year. What Im thinking is that if I passed the requirements this month, AHPRA will request for an IELTS result maybe next year (I learned that processing time is around 3-4mos) by that time, maybe I can present a good IELTS score. Thus, saving time instead of w8ing for my IELTS next year (not even sure If I can get all 7. NEED TO AVOID RED EXAMINERS!!!).
What do yout think of my plan? Or should I just sit for my IELTS first?
Thanks in advance!

You need 15 or more posts to be able to send a pm. I would advise people not to post email or im names on the site but where possible send them via pm. Even if you have less than 15 posts you can still rad any pms sent to you
