New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Part 1 thread New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand - Nursing for Nurses

Australian citizens do not need to apply for a visa to live and work in New Zealand, a visa is given on arrival and they can stay and work for as long as they want, this silver fern visa, for a nurse to avail this visa for 6 months - use it to search for work, they would already need to have New Zealand nurses registration and be job ready.

@sarangelei ... 1 month ************..sorry i can't send pm's

staff note, please post only in english

@sarangelei,

hi dear! can't pm you back coz your inbox is full already. pls pm me once you have enough space. thanks =)

Your visa will depend on ur BP School. Some unis require student visa while others can go for Short stay business visa. For your other question, i am not as knowledgeable as others here when it cones to working visa. but i think if you are talking about long stay business visa (sponsorship), then you will need an employer to support you for this. :)

The silver fern visa does not apply to you because you are not a registered nurse in either new Zealand or Australia. I think that visa is targeted for aussie registered nurses to attract them to move to NZ. Only 300 slots, online applications only, and closes today.

arggggh! prior to sending out the above message, i thought all was okay. i received yesterday my assessment letter and states among others that i need to submit a coe whether my employment was full time or part time. my agency having handled many successful applicants before would have notified me of this and im confident they know their job. it seems that these developments may have been new issues? since apparently most are recent ones? take note that as of march 27, 2012, there is a new agos form where we have to sign both 1st and last pages . . . . . and notarized docs should include the notary'scontact number. im not sure if the later is a new thing. any feedback on this?

-- in the ahpra website, in the certifying documents page, it says: (at the bottom of the page)

certified documents must: (3rd bullet)

list the name, date of certification, and contact phone number and position number (if relevant) and have the stamp or seal of the authorised officer (if relevant) applied.

---contact phone number might refer to that of the notary/certifying officer's contact number.

Good day everyone! I received an email from AHPRA stating that i need additional information like a reference letter from an immediate supervisor and an updated cv. In regards with the updated cv, do i need to send again all my notarized certificates of training which i already sent before?

hi! i was just wondering if anyone here submitted their application to AHPRA QLD? If so, how long did you have to wait for your LOE? TIA! :)
