New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Good day everyone! I received an email from AHPRA stating that i need additional information like a reference letter from an immediate supervisor and an updated cv. In regards with the updated cv, do i need to send again all my notarized certificates of training which i already sent before?

If in the updated CV you would be including additional certificates to that effect, then by all means submit notarized copies.

Hi, my visa took a month to finalize..my case officer kept telling me that they are waiting for my medical clearance even though i have completed them long before..anyways, they will just send you an email message advising you to do your medicals..if they won't you can call the visa hotline though the rate is kinda steep..

Thank you for the reply grasyosa. Unfortunately, they still didn't ask me to do my medicals. :( Hopefully next week they will. Thanks again.

anyone who has submitted the IHNA vaccine declaration form? me has some questions. please PM me..

Anyone for ETEA? I got a call from them and they offered me a place. I have not yet received the offer letter as yet. Anyone in the same boat with me???

Hello nicole.za. I've sent you a pm.

Specializes in renal department.

i have a problem, i made a huge mistake of sending an unupdated CV. the one i sent stated that im still employed to my previous employer, wherein i was employed until january only but i sent my papers around last week of march. i only realised it now that i sent them an unupdated CV what should i do? can i hust resend an updated CV?

In registering for AHPRA, is IELTS only needed in the initial registration? I lodged my application before my IELTS expired. I took the IELTS again but sadly got a band score less than 7. I'm really worried that during the process, they would ask for another valid IELTS result.

I would imagine your IELTS should be valid during the AHPRA assessment period until you have your result of that assessment.

People have reported not needing valid IELTS after BP, you will however need a valid IELTS of 7 if you are lucky enough to be offered full time position and sponsorship for the long term business visa or any other work visa for that matter.

@zrach:

i'm from cavite. :) i applied for the 575 visa. did you lodge your application online? after lodging my application online i had links to download the forms for my medicals so i had my medicals the day after i lodged my application. i'm waiting for the results and st luke's said they would submit it to the department electronically. there are various clinics accredited by the department and the one closest to me is st lukes extension in manila. you can call the australian embassy here and ask for the accredited clinics doing the medical exam.
