Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

I received a letter from AHPRA dated Nov. 4 requiring me to submit verification from brn. I,too,do not have a california license yet even if i already passed the NCLEX. I might call my case manager tomorrow for clarification. liaa, i sent you a private message..:)
hello salmonella! how did you find out who is your case manager and her contact number? if it's fine with you, can you pm me her name and contact details? thanks! :) i'm a cali nclex passer with no license too. i think an AHPRA officer browsed my documents already but she did not tell me to send an nclex verification, and i hope she won't ask me to
hello everyone..
i am really glad to be a part of this forum (first time, hehe!)
i graduated last 2009 and passed the board exam the same year. as we all know, it's hard to get an experience here in the philippines (grrrrr!)
i just want to ask a very essential question.. can i apply to ahpra even i have zero ( as in big "0") experience (aside from the RLE)?? i am dying to practice my profession already.. i'm planning to send my application next month.. any advice?? please help.. im really desperate right now..
thanks!
what is the initial assessment? AHPRA told me that mine is in the middle of the assessment, but they did not tell me if it is "initial" or whatever stage. they are asking me to send additional documents too
it doesnt really matter if they did not mention what stage as long as you have been notified that you need to comply the lacking docs coz surely it has been assessed. I was told that after submitting I'l be on the final stage of assessment. Let's wait and see.

You can get a working visa so long as your current visa hasn't expired by the time your employer sponsors for you. Meaning to say, your working visa should be approved within the time frame that your current visa is still valid. That's if your visa has the "No Further Stay." If however, you don't have the "No Further Stay" in your visa, once your employer starts your nomination for a 457 working visa, and your current visa is already about to expire, or have expired, you will automatically be under a bridging visa that allows you to stay until the time that your working visa is approved.
If you have the "No Further Stay" and your visa is already about to expire, you cannot file for extension with the DIAC, and you cannot stay under a bridging visa. Your only option is to go back to your "home-country" and then wait for your working visa to be approved.
Hope this helps. I am not 100% sure but I am pretty sure this is how it works.
Hi,
I have been looking, and I can;'t find the other registration forms, like for the school, NBI etc. Where can I find? I only am able to find this one
Application for general registration (graduated or trained overseas) as a Registered Nurse, Enrolled Nurse or Midwife - AGOS-04 (1.26 MB,PDF)
who will signs the curriculum vitae? is it have to be the employer as indicated in the ahpra form? what if you do not have an experience?
be signed and dated by your employer (i.e. in the past 5 years) with a statement "this curriculum vitae is true and correct as at (insert date)"
please help.. thanks..
