Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Dumb.
When you start your program with La Trobe, they will assist you in sending whatever is needed to be sent. Thing is, that form was supposed to be sent to NBV, but since it is already extinct, you can wait til you start your course in La Trobe and ask the program coordinator. You still have time to do that and they will definitely help you out. So don't worry about that.
And if you are that concerned about that form, you can simply call your case officer in AHPRA. Your case officer will be the same as the one you have in NBV. But since I know you. You will probably not call at all, and just stare at the wall while you wait for your fave Korean tele-novelas and eating pizza. LOLS...
Hi! :) I graduated last April 2009 and just started volunteer last month, October 2010. So I only have 1 month volunteer experience. I will be starting on my application for AHPRA since I read that a lot had a 3 months waiting time. Im still a little confused and still with hesitancy in applying, afraid if I make errors on my application and waste the money. Anyway, can anyone answer the following:1. I only need to fill up AG0S-04 form and follow what is written there, right?
2. In question no. 12: I passed the NCLEX California. Should I place that as my recent registration? But I dont know what to place on Period of registration since I don't have the license due to lack of SSN.
3. Question 16: I should mark "NO" ? That's why we need IELTS?
4.When should I request IDP and PRC to send my certificates to APHRA? Is it after or before I mail my application to APRHA?
5. In the CV Im confused what to write in the BRIDGING PROGRAM/QUALIFYING EXAMINATIONS and in the CLINICAL/PROCEDURAL SKILLS. What do they mean by "observed"
Thank you for answering my questions. It would be a very big help. And Im sorry if it's soo long.
hello ... i hope i could answer all your queries... but here's all i know...
1. yeah, basically it includes the guidelines in making the application... i think it's all there, as long as you wont miss reading any. and supporting details can be found in AHPRA's website as well.
2. I am a passer too and not yet registered like you. I didnt inlcude it under my registration history but i did mention it on question 11 (examinations and assesments? thats what i remember lol oh sweet lord, im suffering from dementia, others could correct me on this though) and I also placed it somewhere in my curriculum vitae. Thats what some other few did as well.
you can refer to this page, New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand - Page 617- Nursing for Nurses
and read through the conversations
3. You are right. :) This was explained by some of the members here before.
4. What I did was, I sent my application and other requirements within a single envelope first before I requested British Council and PRC to send my docs. I think it's more appropriate to go that way for AHPRA to have a grasp or basis on personal data of the applicant once they already received the other requirements. And according to AHPRA they process applications in order of the date received, so there, i think it would make sense if the application goes first.
5. You can check this link... and consider javRN's post... I hope he doesnt mind me bringing this up from the grave. lol but he was the one (among others) who helped/guided us in doing the CV... here it is... and now im still waiting a response from AHPRA... so i really cant tell if what I did was good enough to make my application valid
just received a letter from aphra today after more than 3 months of waiting :) initial assessment was done! however i need to comply just one more document which it should have been there if not for my dementia kicking hehehe.. good luck to everyone! just be patient:)
is this the letter with the breakdown of the payment charged to your credit card? and is this the first letter u received from ahpra?

what is the initial assessment? AHPRA told me that mine is in the middle of the assessment, but they did not tell me if it is "initial" or whatever stage. they are asking me to send additional documents too
the date in the letter is 08 nov 2010, but my father only noticed it on 15 nov. my application is still delayed because i still have not sent them ff up documents.
if you dont mind me asking, what are those documents? Were they stated on the letter? or did you ask them through their online enquiry?... thank you!

summer88, thank you for answering my queries
the form comes with the (rainbow colored) nbv letter that you received. its the white sheet. unless, your eligibility letter came from ahpra? then i would not have any idea about the new format :)
ricardo carlos ,
i'm a chronic procrastinator that’s why i am asking all these things so i can procrastinate in advance.
