Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

if you dont mind me asking, what are those documents? Were they stated on the letter? or did you ask them through their online enquiry?... thank you!
the postal letter was about the breakdown of fees. i also received an e-mail from AHPRA that i need to submit an edited CV. do you have a case manager?

oh..okay...when did you received the email? coz i havent received any emails from them aside from the reply i got when i asked them if they officially received my papers..and it ddnt mention about a case manager for me... do you have one already?
@glitzdelight
no biggie. :)
the medical exam which the other members are talking about is a requirement when you apply for a visa. . . that's the next step to take after you are already enrolled in a BP provider institution/ university. . .
Ive originally sent my application to NBV but was asked to reapply to AHPRA... I sent them my application plus the additional requirements (like CV) on the second week of August. It's a total of 3 months of waiting now and counting. . . .
and thanks! I hope I'll receive a positive response soon. and Good luck with ur application! :)

the e-mail was around 5 days ago. i e-mail them from time to time. maybe the case manager is the one who always replies to our e-mails?

I hope we can have positive feedbacks by the end of this year of early next year...

i'm remaining positive. most of the time it is the same nurse professional officer (as stated below her name) that replies to me, although at rare cases i also get replies from the CSR. i really want to get into the BP early next year! :) btw, are you currently working? i'm uncertain about this but for the sydney office there is only 1 nurse manager and under her are 4 nurse professional officers, 3 for nurses and 1 for midwives
(there may be some relation to the speed of AHPRA in assessing os nurses)

mine's in nsw. but the BP schools i'm aiming to get into are victoria :). it doesn't matter anyway since AHPRA is for the whole of australia except wa. i'm still a vn
I think your case officer is the one who initially assessed your documents and advised you to submit additional documents and to have them mailed back to her directly (she gives you the address with her name on it). I applied way back April 27, 2010 but was only notified by my case officer Oct. 29 to submit the new AHPRA form and a CV (coz both were not part of the old requirements). Mailed them 11 November and now waiting for final assessment.
hi everyone! today, i received a letter from ahpra dated nov 4 informing me of my outstanding requirements: verification from brn, california (although, i clearly stated in my cv that although i passed nclex, i do not hold a cali license yet... which means i am not registered) and my ielts (which i sent way back). it is just so frustrating when u have to send documents again when you know that you have done so to begin with. i sent my application first week of august, so that makes my waiting time a little over 3 months.mikyong, salmonella, sweeth tooth...any news yet? :)
I received a letter from AHPRA dated Nov. 4 requiring me to submit verification from brn. I,too,do not have a california license yet even if i already passed the NCLEX. I might call my case manager tomorrow for clarification. liaa, i sent you a private message..:)

Mikyong. Awww... Im sooo touched. :heartbeatYou answered everything. Such a BIG HELP!
What about the medical exam that one should go through. That's after I receive the eligibility letter? I just cant find any in the form for one to undergo the medical exam, or maybe my eyes are too tired from re-reading it. haha!
If I may ask when did you send your application to AHPRA? I hope you'll get their response very soon
