New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

World Registration

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Thanks for replying bobby, i do have 4 years experience in medical surgical area and now currently in the Delivery Room-Nicu department. The thing is w/ ACFE's schedule i dont have enough time to get an employer so I think my question should be 'is it fine to send applications even during BP and just indicate that your license is still pending? ' Im applying for a 456 visa so Im worried about the time frame in which i am allowed to stay in Aus. Would it be possible to extend your stay if you have multiply entries?or should one go home first in Phil then fly back to Aus?
In your case, the answer is yes but make sure that your prospective employer can sponsor you after your BP. Coming to Australia to do a BP without a guaranteed slot for employment will always be risky especially since sponsorships are becoming scarce. You do have the option of going back home and return to Australia because of your type of visa but would it be more costly though?
hi tokiya! just want to ask, which state did Philman send your docs?

hi aila61. they sent mine to Melbourne, Victoria. Hope processing is faster over there.
