Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

hi chabeli! i am for the may intake of la trobe bendigo. i was so happy to see your post! are you also for this intake? i do not have a place to stay yet in the bendigo area though i reserved a room, just for my arrival on the 24th of may. my friend who's offering me a place lives in melbourne and its like a 2 hours ride i guess from there. do you have any suggestions? hope to hear from you soon!

Got a go signal for medical exam March 28 or 29 (not sure)
Done with Medicals April 4
Posted my results online April 11 (it was delayed due to holyweek)
Emailed embassy re: update on visa April 17
Embassy asking me for IELTS results (because I took another one last March 31) April 18
Replied and plead and beg (hehe) April 19
Got my visa April 23.
So there :) 28 days in total. But I think it would really depend on your case officer. :)

any suggestions with my dillema?, got my registration this feb, still looking forwork and sponsorship till now, any tips?, agencies won't accept me because i justhave 6 months volunteer experience back home, I’m on a multi entry 456, and my90 day would expire by end of june, my 456 would expire in august, been applying online for 2 months everydayto anything that would suit my qualifications, still nothing, if my 90 days isup, and i don't land a job, do you know what other option i could take?

everywhere, i dont really mind relocating, i would like to join the new graduate programs, but they don't sponsor,..
they said that there are more jobs in nsw than in melbourne. a friend of mine got a job in SA after her BP and she didn't have any experience either. what school did you finish your BP?
