Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

@ Danceinstructoryes, you're right . .cert. of good standing from PRC is already a proof to meet criterion 5 . .
@ Shaneyney These are the documents that I submitted to AHPRA to meet criterion 5:
Certificate of Good Standing from PRC and NBI clearance.
Thanks for the info! For the certificate of good standing, I should make arrangements for PRC to send it directly to AHPRA, right? Or could I just get one and attach it along with the other requirements?
Are you in australia now or did you go back to your home country?
To those who applied for 456 visaI am now unemployed and the form requires to tick whether employed or self employed. Unemployed is not in the choice.I called the embassy to ask about this situation. The guy told me to jut put a note under that question that I am unemployed. He sounded unsure and have doubt in his voice. huhu.Any suggestion or anyone who went on the same situation?
@Ladydee-RN Thank you for your pm's, sorry but im not yet allowed to send PM's yet but I really appreciate the help.
I'm still finalizing my CV, COE and my AGOS-40 although the rest of the docs are ready. I'd like to send my application to APHRA VIC, although I'd like to do my BP and find work in NSW. Do I answer NSW to my AGOS-40 as my principal place of practice. Although the processing time changes from each territory depending on workload, does anyone know which territory processes the longest so I will not send it to them?
I'm just wondering how do someone decide on which territory they'd enroll BP and go to? I dont know anyone in Australia and no preferred destination yet.
Ooohh!!! Why did you choose perth campus? Did you avail of their accomodation? When are you flying to aus? :) hope you can keep me updated as im scared of undergoing the process :/no, not yet. i'm in for april intake at perth.. you should take the opportunity if you are already included for their intake before they will have new rules again for admitting applicants or maybe further increase their tuition fee..
Yes, they recommend you apply for the business short stay visa:)Thank you for that info. I apply for IHNA iron program. Had my interview today and told me that they will send an email regarding my application. So as of now I dont know what visa they require for BP. If its 456visa I know I need to exit Australia.
try to call them to check about ur application because sometimes they dont reply through email.@ ailene313- Hie. When did you receive your offer letter from AAoN? Where will you be doing your clinical placement? I did an interview 2 weeks back and l'm just waiting for the reply. I don't even know which intake l will in, l wish it's the April intake!!!
hi! just wanna ask when they told you to give a letter of confirmation from the dean for the pharmacology subject, did they ask you this before you received the email saying that your papers are escalated for final approval already or after? thanks in advance! :)
They didn't specify that I need to have the confirmation from the dean but they did ask it before they told me that my documents are for final approval:)
@ Ailene313, Adyhottie- thank you for the reply. I did my interview on the 9th of March and l asked them when possibly would l get an outcome-they said in 2weeks, which is this friday. My agent also called the school yesterday and they said we should expect the outcome on or before this friday. Just keeping my fingers crossed l get it.........but anxious about the time left if l'm accepted for the April intake.
Hi guys. This forum has really been helpful. Thanks to those who posted information about stuff. :)
Anyway, I just got an offer letter from AAON for June intake. I have about a little less than a month to file for visa. What do you guys recommend? Student or 456? Can I file this on my own or would it be better to go through an agency? I'm getting ahead here. I mean I haven't actually paid the fees yet. lol
Anyone else going to AAON or have been there? PM me! Thanks!
