Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Hello everyone,Can anyone give me feedback about IHNA? Has anyone ungergone their BP there? Also, can I apply for a student visa instead of the 456 for a BP? I read that the student visas are for award courses and since the BP is only 3 months, they will issue the 456 visa. How's the current job market situation in Australia? I hope you can help me with these concerns. I'm on a time crunch to make a decision!!! :(Thanks in advance!
AFAIK, IHNA only accepts students who had at least 2 years experience. Correct me if I am wrong on this.
BTW, any list of BP accredited schools? I got one from AHPRA but then, I think it's not complete.
To those who applied for 456 visa
I am now unemployed and the form requires to tick whether employed or self employed. Unemployed is not in the choice.
I called the embassy to ask about this situation. The guy told me to jut put a note under that question that I am unemployed. He sounded unsure and have doubt in his voice. huhu.
Any suggestion or anyone who went on the same situation?

this is really hard hmmm... I think if your going to put your "unemployed" the reason you could say is that, you have resigned from work to pursue the BP course in AUs. or you could also say your doing volunteer work at the moment.
hi jayvincible!have you finished your BP in IHNA already? How was it? are you working now?
Chhers!
no, not yet. i'm in for april intake at perth.. you should take the opportunity if you are already included for their intake before they will have new rules again for admitting applicants or maybe further increase their tuition fee..

Yes, it is really difficult. Did you hear of others having rejected of this kind of visa? Im really afraid. Hmmn. I think I should just leave it blank and attach a letter for it. Hmmnn.
hi! just wanna ask when they told you to give a letter of confirmation from the dean for the pharmacology subject, did they ask you this before you received the email saying that your papers are escalated for final approval already or after? thanks in advance! :)For my case I asked the secretary of the dean about this and gladly she told me "For Australia ****? *****" Apparently, they already have a format for it with PHARMACOLOGY on our Course outline. Try asking her.Did the IDP sent it via air mail to Australia?
