Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Done with my skype interview with IHNA today.. I guess it went ok but not my very best interview ever! Hehe.. I hope I can get in for their intake on August. Anyone here taking IHNA's iron program in Melbourne campus?
HI KATERINA What did they ask you for your interview? I am currently waiting for my LOE . .Thanks. .
Hi again everyone.
For my 456 application form: question 13. I think I have a solution.
Is having an online shop same as self employed? hehe
I own one though it is kind of inactive due to ielts review. Due to this reason, I would tick self-employed instead leaving that portion unanswered. Any opinion? :)
Forgive me, I can't stop thinking of this.
Hi guys. This forum has really been helpful. Thanks to those who posted information about stuff. :)Anyway, I just got an offer letter from AAON for June intake. I have about a little less than a month to file for visa. What do you guys recommend? Student or 456? Can I file this on my own or would it be better to go through an agency? I'm getting ahead here. I mean I haven't actually paid the fees yet. lol
Anyone else going to AAON or have been there? PM me! Thanks!
AAON is CRICOS registered so I guess Student visa.:) Process it on your own so you'll learn. But if you're too busy going through an agency won't hurt. They won't charge that big (I hope).
Thanks for the info! For the certificate of good standing, I should make arrangements for PRC to send it directly to AHPRA, right? Or could I just get one and attach it along with the other requirements?
HI SHANEYNEY In my case, I had requested my cert of good standing ahead of time . .I requested for two copies . .One was sent by PRC to AHPRA and the other one was a personal copy which I had photocopied and certified by a lawyer. I attached it together with my documents that I sent to AHPRA ...
The certificate of Good standing that PRC will send to AHPRA will do . . AHPRA indicated that Certificate of Good Standing should be sent by a regulatory board .
aila, ladydee-rn, g3stalt, mr. e-nigma, kringkring, angelslove, irin, ishtin:here's ahpra-sa's reply to my inquiry regarding the transfer:
"thank you for your recent enquiry regarding transferring your application from wa to sa office.
as you received a notification from wa office advising your application has now been escalated for final approval, i would strongly recommended that you keep your application form in wa for finalising. transferring the hard copy of the documentation from wa to sa office can impact on processing time.
in sa, we process applications in chronological order, from the date the documentation was received. in your situation this would be from the date we received your documentation in s.a.
the standard timeframe for the assessment of registrations is from 3-6 months. however every application is assessed on its own merits therefore this time frame is only a guide and cannot be guaranteed. so therefore, by transferring your application from wa to sa office, we cannot guarantee that we will complete the assessment in time for your bridging course this may 2012.

no reply yet from ahpra vic. but i have decided stick it out with ahpra-wa. patience, patience, patience. :)
hi vanessa thank you so much for the information . let's just wait for our loe. . .we need to be patient . . .
AAON is CRICOS registered so I guess Student visa.:) Process it on your own so you'll learn. But if you're too busy going through an agency won't hurt. They won't charge that big (I hope).
Thanks :) I'm not really busy but I have no idea what to do yet lol. I'm also afraid that the time is not enough to process a student visa? I think it's 4-6 weeks? Whereas the 456 is just a few weeks based on what I've read on this forum :)
I already have my visa. is your aunt for 23rd of April intake at perth campus?
@jayvincible, yes she is scheduled for April 23 intake. She had her first theories in Melbourne last January however she had problems with her exam. Fortunately IHNA granted her another chance to take the exam. If everything goes well then she will be included in April's intake in Perth. She said IHNA Perth Campus is better than Melbourne Campus (most of the admins are strict).. She is staying with my other Aunt which is in Rockingham Perth. I'll let her know if ever she is pushing thru with April's intake.
Goodluck and Godbless!
