Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

They didn't specify that I need to have the confirmation from the dean but they did ask it before they told me that my documents are for final approval:)
oohhh ok! thank you! im just worried since in my TOR there's also no "pharmacology" although we had it in college its just that our school had a different approach. I hope they won't be asking me for an additional requirement since I already received the "final approval" email.
@aila61: Have you submitted a detailed course syllabus? If you did, maybe pharmacology was included there :)
@zrach: the normal processing time for student visa is 1-3 months. Better start as early as tomorrow:)

yes i submitted a course description but there's also no pharmacology. what we had in college was a lecture on different diseases for adult, pedia and geria which includes the medicines (classifications) etc that's basically what i could remember. now im thinking of requesting something from our school which states that we had pharma back then just to be ready in case ahpra asks me to send such letter.

@jayvincible, yes she is scheduled for April 23 intake. She had her first theories in Melbourne last January however she had problems with her exam. Fortunately IHNA granted her another chance to take the exam. If everything goes well then she will be included in April's intake in Perth. She said IHNA Perth Campus is better than Melbourne Campus (most of the admins are strict).. She is staying with my other Aunt which is in Rockingham Perth. I'll let her know if ever she is pushing thru with April's intake.

Wow.. I am now developing the anxious feeling to undergo the bridging program. hehe.. i hope that we (your aunt) will be classmates this coming april. rockingham is soo far from the campus by the way.. anyway, i still dont have a place to stay there until now. maybe, ill just avail the campus acommodation if i cant find a good place other than what IHNA offered.

hi.. you can try to ask your query through e-mail.. based on my experience, i have a question that wasn't answered by people answering queries through phone. My question was answered through e-mail by a case officer.. I just assume that case officers know better than those people answering the phone.
She suggested to focus on drug calculation coz that she found out to be quiet complicated. I think we are friends on Fb, just shoot me a message on FB so I can refer you to my aunt and then you can ask her to suggest a good place for you to stay near the Campus. I guess I'll see you around, hoping for a positive results on my visa app.

Yeah. I was also told to focus on drug calculation by achieving a perfect score in this exam. that is quite a challenge for me since i hate math. hehe. i get confused sometimes by just solving a simple math problem. anyway, see you soon ned. were not friends in fb yet. i remember you are on reese's friendllist.. i just hope you will receive your visa soon..

Hi! They asked about post op management, dementia and stroke. And they will ask you to tell something about yourself. The questions are basically about your experience as a nurse. goodluck with you LOE!
