New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

World Registration

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

hi everyone! just a question! do we need a valid all-7 ielts for PR application?

blessed because i already received my eligibility dated february 6 2012i dont have ielts yet but my application for eligibility for the bp was granted i only showed them certs from my secondary school and nursing uni that everything were taught and assessed in english.do we have any bp centers that accepts non ielts passer? thanks
Doubt there would be many BP schools around who would take students with no English test as withduty of care they would not take the risk. How do you plan to apply for a long term visa (if you are very lucky to find a BP school and an employer, visa requires current IELTS 7 all round.?

well i was just a bit curious if there are existing bp centers who accepts non ielts passers..im already on the verge of taking the exam anytime soon..its just that im just looking for the possibility if i could technically commence the bp application without the exam yet.but if no possibilities would arise then sitting and acing the exam will definitely wont be a huge problem..the council perhaps considered my application because i belonged to a secondary school and nursing uni whereas english was utilized as the major method of instructions...so this is just to encourage some people here who are having difficulties to get that all 7 scores in ielts...u can start the application however documentations like i prepared would be basly needed and this can be done while u are currently working on the exam...Godbless to all!

hi irin,so does that mean, they have started assessing our documents? because i emailed them last Jan 17, the reply i got was, "once assessment of your application commences." for me that means, they have not begun to assess it yet. I emailed Ms. **. by the way. PS: were your docs sent by a consultancy agency too?
Hi vanessa2685,Well I think our case officer is the same, and I do hope that she is/they are now reviewing our documents. I submitted my papers without the aid of any agency. All I did was to follow all the instructions listed in AGOS, AHPRA website and most importantly get clues and help from all the members of this group. As regards to follow-up, I have also asked the help of my aunt who's in AUS to call AHPRA but she was informed that my application will only be fast tracked if I already have a letter of employment, which I wouldn't be able to have because I still have to undergo the whole process of registration and BP.:)Let's just be hopeful and pray a little bit more so that our papers will be processed the soonest time possible :-):)

Are people from Saudi Heath Specialties the one to send the certificate of good standing or i can just send the certified true copy? The above mentioned documents is all that we need to secure from the Kingdom? Sorry if I have alot of questions.. :) Thank you so much cranberry!U gave us quite an enlightenment!

May God bless you more!

Applications from the Phillipines now require IELTS 7. It must be achieved before sending in application form. It will be considered a incomplete application and sent sideways.

This new rule began September 19 2011. That is why BP schools must have this requirement.

me also in saudi
