New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Is it a must to be currently employed when applying for the 456 visa? Help pls

I was required to present at least 1M by my agent. Joint accts are accepted. You can even use your parent's accts. Just prepare an affidavit of support.

Thanks for this! 1M excluding the receipt from the tuition fee?

Hello. Where is the clinical placement of AAON? How is their BP?

Clinical placement is in Sydney, and their BP is quite alright. You'll learn just exactly what you need to learn. :)

Hello Forumers,

I am new here. I just passed the IELTS exam and I am off to apply for AHPRA. I heard that you need to coordinate with your English testing center for them to send out the official result in AHPRA?

Moreover, do I have to coordinate with PRC too for them to send the required papers or can I just have them notarized?

Thanks!

hi guys, just wanted to ask if anyone here submitted their papers last September 2011 to AHPRA WA? Did you guys recieve your eligibility letter already? I called AHPRA last week and they said they are already processing september applicants. It's taking too looooooong :(

Hello pals

Im a newbie on this thread. I had read some of the previous post starting from page one to here and I would like to

extend by thanks for sharing this infos, your personal experience.. it really helps a lot.

I'm also one of the multitude of nurses in our country who aspires to be a registered nurse in Australia...

and I'm positive that despite the rigorous process and hardships..in the end I will be able to get that AU RN

I had just some few questions because right now.. im still on the starting line. Im preparing the necessary documents to be send to ARHPA for assessment.

For those who already have their eligibility..please do specify what necessary documents did you send or do you have some consultancy agency that to the job for you.. I just want to do it right and not to have any lacking requirements.

thanks.

is it usual for AHPRA offices to wait for the board meeting before they finalize an application? or is it usually just the case officer who decides on application.

mine went from my case officer (Nov 22, 2011), referred to the Director of Registrations (Feb. 1, 2012) , and now the director referred it for the board meeting (will be held mid-Feb 2012). it's seems like they have trouble finalizing my application. whew.
