New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

hi chillbrat_1824,

I have the same concern like yours. I was also confused if I have to get a return ticket. I have posted my concern here and makikay told me that she just bought a one way ticket. Where are you going to take your Bridging Course?

Hello everyone,

Happy new year! :)

To those who have been granted the 456 visa without the "No further stay clause," are you guys required to get a return flight before going out of the country? I think I read somewhere in this forum that others were able to attend the bp without getting a return flight as they can get an interim visa while onshore... Can anyone please shed light regarding this matter? TIA.

God bless everyone.. Keep the faith burning... :)

Hello dimplednurse,

I only purchased for a one-way ticket since I am planning to exit in NZ after my 3 mos in Australia expires. Let's try to confirm this with the others so that we can get their expert opinion. :) I am for CON's January intake.. :)

Hi chilbrat,

will I not get in trouble in the airport immigration if I only have one-way ticket?

Good for you for being able to get a January slot. I will be taking my Bridging Course at ACFE by March.

Good luck to you!

Anybody here who's going to take their Bridging Course at ACFE on March? I would really like to meet you before the course starts so maybe we can chat or be friends at FB. I'm also currently searching for accommodation there so maybe we can team up and look for an apartment to share.

That I'm really not sure. :) But others were able to attend their bp with only one-way ticket. So I'm hoping that we can also do the same thing. Cheers! :)

Hi fellow nurses!

Happy new year!

I'm new here in this forum, hopefully you can help me. I'll just want to ask some things about Australian Bridging Program. I'm from the Philippines and I got only 1 year experience in a primary hospital. Does bed capacity matters for AHPRA application?

Since my budget is limited, my friend told me about Phil. Management Inc., a consultancy agency based in Manila. I don't know if this Agency is reliable since I was not able to attend their orientation. Could anybody give me any information about PhilMan?

Thank you very much!

Hello indedenpent_chiq, just want to ask you i know this may sound stupid but just want to make sure. this is regarding the syllabus per nursing subject & course syllabus are they the same? I have indicated in my request the syllabus per nursing subject to be precise but they keep on mentioning course syllabus that's why i'm asking you becoz my school until now they have not issued me the said docs. what makes me more doubtful according to my sister it will only cost me 750 pesos for the course syllabus were you've mentioned it cost you around 5K. for me to have an idea around how many pages are there for the course syllabus?

Thank you & God bless!!
