Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Hello!
What state processes eligibility to AHPRA the fastest? Any updates on ACT? I heard they process quickly.
For those who chose LTU, did you apply directly ie thru email sending scanned documents? How long did it take for them to assess and confirm if you're accepted in their program? Tips pls =)
Happy Holidays everyone =)

Hello! So far ACT process around a month or two according to forum members here. I'm not sure if WA is still the same as they used to be the fastest as of June this year. I submitted my application to VIC and it took me about 4 months for me to get my eligibility letter. Hope that helps. Happy New Year!:)
I am currently waiting for my next shot of MMR and I'm just wondering if how did you guys document your immunization records? I wanted to include the lot numbers and expiry dates however, my previous vaccines didn't have any. Is it alright to just have it signed by my doctor that I received such vaccines?
Thanks in advance:)
hello and happy holidays to everyone.i just want to ask if anyone knows what this means:
"your application was referred to the Director of Registration for approval consideration".
this is the response i got when i emailed AHPRA to ask the status of my application since they last contacted last month.
thanks.
If I'm not mistaken, I think it merely means that they are now processing your papers. They will ask for further documents when necessary. You might as well process your immunization records while waiting for your eligibility letter.
Good things come to those who wait:)
Hi guys can anybody help me? I am planning to register in aprah..can anyone help me with my resume..I need a sample cv please...is it true that the processing will take about 6 months or more?help pls thanks
Hello there!
I was just as lost as you were when I started reading however, through reading the thread, I got more answers to my questions. You can back read the previous posts as a sample CV was posted here somewhere. Processing used to be 6 months but from the current trend, I noticed that application process is now faster with an average of 3-4 months.
