Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Feel to share hehehe..:loveya:Today, i feel so blessed!!
Why? this is what happened: I had an interview by ACFE last week and on the same day, i read in their website that they will be going to send the offer letter for their successful applicants on Dec. 5. During that day, I wasn't expecting but i just can't stop myself from hoping to receive an offer letter. Unfortunately, i didn't! I was been a couch potato for the whole day till midnight just to wait for the offer but it never came
..On the following day, i decided to find other schools and placed more effort and time so i could find one. Yet, no one replied, oh my gosh!another hurdle to take??
but i never stop praying! Upon waking up yesterday, something was pushing me to send an enquiry to ACFE regarding the result of my interview. I was never expecting this much, but i received an email from the school offering me the January intake instead of March. i was overwhelmed:eek: especially my hope was almost vanished thru a thin air.

By now, i am busy as bee preparing everything esp my visa application.Hoping i could finish everything weeks before my class commences..
For all forumers here who helped me from the start till now, thank you very much!

hello itsmemilody:)
i submitted my dox last November 28 and i was scheduled for an interview last December 1. My application was for their March intake since i was informed that their January intake was already full. Surprisingly, i was offered for their January intake last December 7 and i never thought that there was a hope of getting that slot since its a month to go.. i felt so blessed!:dncgcpd:
Before complying ACFE's requirements, i gave them a ring and they instructed me to send the LOE,application form with its fee, IELTS and RESUME. Afterwards they responded my email with the dox attached, they scheduled me for an interview. They are very accommodating especially with our enquiries.
i will pm you the email i used in sending my papers and the number i used in ringing them..
Good luck mate
hi guys..
Please help me with my query..
I would like to ask if you have any idea how to procure the H.A.P (health request id) or T.R.N (transaction request number) from the Australian embassy. For their latest processing of medical examination, we need to have the HAP ID or the TRN so to start the medical part according to the Nationwide Healthcare system.
I already lodged my visa application but they did not give me that kind of i.d or a form for my medical exam. I really wanted to start the med exam so that my visa application will be ready before January 2012.
Any information is highly appreciated..
Thank you so much!
hi joiemike! thank you so much for your effort in answering my question! I really appreciate your long reply :) you have 2 yrs in the ER? I only have 1 yr in the ER then another 1 year and 5 mos as an Interventional Radiology Nurse. So technically I have 2.5 yrs post grad exp. I tried looking for jobs in the internet and you are right. Some are asking for 1-2 yrs exp. Have you tried applying at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital? My colleague before only had a 1 yr experience as an ER nurse and he got accepted there. When are you coming back here in the Phils? Do you mind telling me what hospital accepted you and is willing to sponsor you for a working visa? :) And are the health centers in rural areas in Aus also willing to sponsor overseas nurses who are finished with their BPs?
Thank you in advance and congratulations for finishing your BP! :)
I noticed you have more than a year of experience in radiology. There are tons of jobs for nurses in imaging here... you might want to apply in that field considering your experience... Usually they require 2years experience for ER...

Hi mhai! Actually I have been checking out the available jobs in australia via google :) and yes I did find some jobs for Nurses in Imaging which made me more excited! Hehehe. I also saw some jobs for ER nurses requiring at least 2 years experience. Although my friend who only had 1 year exp in the ER got accepted in Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and they asked him if he would like to be assigned in the ER or floors (wards). Of course, considering that it is more toxic in the ER he then chose to work in a ward. As for me, I will accept whatever comes first! Hehe! I cannot afford to be choosy! :)

hi stellawinx! sent you a private message! thanks! :)
hi, the reason i ask if there's anybody here from the said school becoz they have no idea what's transcript of training eventhough i've attached the email from ahpra. My only hope is to refer my request to the dean of nursing. i've already provided to ahpra my TOR, RLE & COURSE OUTLINE but it seems it's not enough. Does anyone of you guys have any idea what transcript of training? if possible give me some example for me to have an idea.
any help will greatly be appreciated.
Thank you & God bless!

I am on a tight budget and I'm trying to choose a BP provider that would cost me the least. And one of my concerns is the venue of clinical placements because I dont want to be burdened with the cost of plane fares if ever my chosen BP provider would have me do my clinicals on another state. For instance, joimike here had his BP at ETEA in melbourne but he had his clinicals in SYdney so he had to go back and forth. If this will be the case for me, I think my tight budget could not compensate for added cost of plane fares.
SO to all those who had already finished their BP at either CON, AAON and La Trobe:
Where do they place their BP students for the clinical placements? What state or how far from the school?
