New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

World Registration

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Part 1 thread New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand - Nursing for Nurses

Tell them the truth...

.I think they get the picture.....here is this person from the Phillipines wanting to return, recently visited Australia for bridging program to gain Australian registration in nursing, now returning, what will they be returning to do.........look for an employer to employ them, for a long term business visa (and hopefully gain a permanent residency visa), I do not think anything else will be the answer they will be looking for or know will not be the truth.

thanks

i just hope that there wont be too much questioning. LOL

From what I remember when entering the country, you should state you are still on business, getting your nursing registration organised, if there are any questions, usually if they do....it is.....what is the nature of your visit to Australia?......to complete my Australian nursing registration with the Australian health practitioners regulation agency.....by the times you finish saying all of this you will be waved through! if, asked any questions of course.

If asked are you looking for work? ......I have been approached by several health agencies and organising interviews and hopefully be asked to take part in a long term business visa for 2-3 years.

and if asked, if you do not get work what will you do? return back to the Phillipines before by visa conditions run out.

Just the truth, slightly tweeked.

February intake is full ( i applied for their earliest intake but unfortunately there were applicants who submitted their application earlier, good thing I had a back up plan :)), You should be applying now if you want to be prioritize for their April intake. there is no deadline, it is first come first serve basis and you'll be placed in the waiting list once you'll apply.

Hello unadunad. Do you happen to know AAON's e-mail address? Thank you. :)

Hello everyone!

I am currently looking for BP schools. I tried inquiring in CON Burwood. However, I have not received any messages from them. To those who applied there, did you send it via courier? Or through email? What's the email ad? Is it [email protected] ? They seem to ignore all my queries.

I look forward to anyone's reply. Thank you very much! God bless!:)

You can submit your application through email and courier. They are not ignoring you I think, it will take days/week before they respond to your query, based on my experience.

hello everyone!

is there any education provider in WA aside from Royal perth Hospital? Is it possible to apply for a slot while waiting for the LOE from Aphra? or do i just have to wait first for the LOE?

Does any one know any intakes next year in WA?

Hello there, i just want to ask if how are you going to deal with your status having a single entry 456 visa if in case you couldnt look for a job after the 3month duration? Just wondering...

Hi, I am to file an further stay visitor's visa then stay here until my registration takes effect and look for a job, and then the employer files for a working visa. ---- well, that's the plan... apparently, I went to the immigration today to apply for my visitor's visa, and I think they're becoming stricter than ever. The lady who I spoke with didn't want to give me a visa, I told her I was wanting to see my relatives and I have to process my nursing registration. She spoke to her manager and then got back to me saying that they'll only give me 4 weeks visa with no further stay. I was surprised by this decision as I have all the documents needed, I even have letters of invitation from my relatives. My visa will expire on the 07/12/11. When I noticed that she wouldn't change her mind regardless of what I say, I just asked her if she can make it effective 08/12/11, day after my present visa lapses. She told me to just lodge the visa again on the 5th, but she put notes on my file in her computer. I am planning to lodge my visa on a different office. Most probably, she has already indicated something on my file but I'm still hoping that the decision would change and I'd still be granted a longer visa or a better visa...
